I've sold some properties to Canadian buyers. Mostly condos. And most buyers from Canada wanted less expensive real estate, under 100k, which is fine. They tend to be strong negotiators (some would say they are cheap). I think it's just being frugal. They take their time in searching but when ready they pay in cash and close quick. :)
