I wouldn't drive anyone around without getting them pre-approved by a loan officer, it's a lot tougher to get a loan now.
A lot of times buyers may tell you something and when the loan officer starts checking may find something they may not have known about that could effect their loan.. have them make a quick call to a lender maybe you know just to get things started.. at least you and they will have a clearer vision of what your looking for in price so you don't. show them homes in a price range they can not afford ...
