I graduated from the State University of New York at Farmingdale in 1989 with a degree in business administration; with an emphasis put on marketing.
After graduation, I had a successful career in retail management; where I learned: about advertising, paying close attention to what the competition is doing, merchandising, and the biggest lesson of all ...that nothing beats providing Superior, Customer Satisfaction. A happy customer is the only customer to have.
I entered the real estate industry in 1995, just after buying my first home in South Carolina. The lessons learned were once again: how to advertise, finding ways to market the property to have it stand out among a lot of competition, including resales competing in the neighborhood where the builders were there building for less than the resale. I learned that it is imperative to have Great Communication with your clients, to be available to answer their questions and walk them though from the start of the process all the way to the end of their move. The biggest lesson learned is that there is no such thing as too much service; The Greater the SERVICE the more Satisfied the Client. (Just like the customer, there is nothing better than a satisfied client)
After years of satisfied clients and a business that grew by referrals and repeat business, my family made the decision to close the business and relocate back home to Suffolk County, New York.
I was excited to work in the Sellers market that we have experienced over the past years, although it was often difficult finding a home for the buyer due to the fact that the homes were selling so quickly. I am equally excited to now be working in the Buyers market we are in today. A market similar to the one I learned the industry and a market that requires the use of extensive marketing to get a property sold, something I truly enjoy. It is a market that the buyers have many choices, the interest rates are amazing, and the prices are lower than in previous years. There has not been a better time to buy for decades.
