Your agent is not only the one to blame. Did you have an attorney? Usually the attorney follow-ups with the Realtor and work out who will file the extension and if not availabel just file it between the 2 attorneys involved. This is unfortunate for you and I would have been very upset with the whole thing. Contact the agents Broker and see if he/she is willing to make ammends with you as their name is on the line. Also you can call the Ct assoc. of Realtors and file a complaint. - A few hours ago
