Despite earning a Masters Degree in Music Performance, Education and Conducting, Tatyana always found that she was drawn to real estate. After years of peppering her husband with questions about design, location, architecture, development and price, she finally decided to turn her passion into a vocation. She first began selling windows and doors from the coast to the Cascades. As she says, “When I walked onto the factory floor and the sounds and smells filled my senses, I knew I was home.” Beginning her career with Penguin Windows, she quickly became one of the top salespeople, later graduating to become a territory manager for Milgard Windows and Doors. However, while each of these were parts of the whole, she wanted to become more involved in the purpose of all that activity: selling beautiful homes.
For some, the rigorous education to get into the business is daunting. However, Tatyana found it endlessly fascinating and engaging – relishing every aspect of what she was learning. She now combines that substance with her passion and a willingness to work hard.
Tatyana’s work ethic comes from her disciplined and challenging childhood in Russia where she lived until she immigrated to America in 1997. To her, the demands of the real estate profession are a welcome break from the demands of growing her own food and doing family chores from morning until bedtime! She feels incredibly fortunate to realize the opportunity in America and to engage her life pursuing her passion.
To know Tatyana is to know her love for this country, her open and charming personality and her down-to-earth simplicity combined with European sensibilities. She maintains her love for music and is a regular attendee at the symphony and opera. She loves to travel, saying her favorite thing to do is to go on walking tours to appreciate the architecture, eat great food and experience the best that each city has to offer.
