Hi - you might want to have an attorney review the documents. It will all depend on how everything was worded. Generally the wording will say that closing is to occur on or before a specific date, giving the buyer the ability to close sooner if all parties are prepared to do so. However any of it was worded - no terms can change without them been in writing and signed by all parties. Also - nothing can close until all parties sign closing docs at title either, so you should have had the ability to not sign until the originally agreed timeframe even if the buyer was ready ahead of schedule.
