"Selling one’s home, particularly in this market, can be a harrowing experience and certainly one that is often filled with frustrations & disappointments.
When we saw some new construction and fell in love with it we didn’t even have our home on the market yet the builder only gave us 60 days to close on our sale or we would lose our option on the new property. This seemed like a very tall order, all the more so as we needed to get a good price for our house in order to make the deal work on the new one.
Even though Nick is not based in our area we chose to list with him after he made a very impressive and professional presentation to us clearly detailing the steps he would take to effectively market our property and get the job done in the time allowed. Clearly he had a positive attitude and a considered plan rather than a vague hope laced with caveats and he really made us feel that selling our house would be a focus for him in the coming weeks. If I am honest we were a bit skeptical that all the promises would be delivered upon but we needn’t have been as we got a lot more than we ever expected!
Nick and his team at Weichert produced an array of beautiful custom marketing materials within 48 hours of getting the listing. One thing we didn’t realize was that realtors need to pay for these materials out of their own pocket (sale or no sale) so obviously there is an incentive to cut corners in quality and quantity but that was certainly not the case with Nick. He also conducted numerous open houses and was very “available” and communicative throughout the whole process, keeping us appraised of developments on almost an hourly basis if necessary.
One of the things we really appreciated was his willingness to “go with the flow” of our varying emotions, providing good advice when requested yet respecting our (no doubt sometimes unreasonable) views when the occasion demanded. Selling a house is a major undertaking and not many of us do it that often so it’s great to feel you have a real partner in the process who can (and does) make it as painless as possible!
Nick’s efforts bought over 100 prospective purchasers through our door in the first month alone. Yes, many were trying to “steal” the house but we received several competitive offers and eventually signed a contract less than 50 days after listing the property. Did we get our asking price? No, but despite Nick’s sound advice on that matter our initial expectations were out of line with the market, a fact we were soon forced to accept by the reality “in the trenches”. Did we get a fair price and were we happy with the final deal? Absolutely!
In summary Nick was professional, knowledgeable, attentive, supportive and always there when we needed him. Ultimately, as a result of his efforts we achieved what might have seemed an impossible goal: we sold a house in a horrible market within 50 days for a good price.

"“You know, it is so difficult to find someone you can depend on and trust when you want to buy a house in the US, especially for first home buyers and foreigners like us.
We met Nick at an open house where he was the host and at that time we really had no idea what it meant to buy a house in US. We saw the open house sign and walked in and just wanted to look around and see how we liked the house and area etc. While we were walking through his open house, it was clear to us that Nick knew what he was doing. Nick was a good listener and he told us how the real estate market looked in times of an economy in global recession. We met 2 other realtors on the same day and Nick was the only one who contacted us on the same evening to give us follow up information. The entire home buying process with Nick was great fun; we even looked at more than 5 different houses in the late afternoon hours of one particular day.

Oh, yes he has a really BIG foot (as I, Korean say, someone who has so many valuable contacts ). We did choose the mortgage company, home inspection services and contractor for home improvements through him. Nick also recommended a real estate attorney to us and we were happy with him too.
Now we are first time home owners and are so happy that we worked with Nick as our representative. Nick has been there for us from the beginning to the end of our home buying process. We even closed one week earlier than originally scheduled.
We highly recommend Nick for anyone planning to buy a house especially for the first time. And if we want to sell our house we know who we are going to call.
