Like most, I dabbled in the Internet start up business, but found my second career in 2003 with real estate sales. The first broker I worked for said "you spend too much time with clients!" I left that firm pretty quick to join RE/MAX where the brokers understand that the business is about spending time with clients, understanding their needs and, most of all, getting results.

MARKET AREA

My market area Includes most of Northern Virginia, particularly communities within a one-hour radius of Dulles Airport. This area is often referred to as the Dulles Tech Corridor. Since the Dulles Greenway (Rt 267) was built in the mid 90's, the road has helped spur growth throughout the region. Now there's the Silver Line extension of the Washington Metro system that is the hot topic - it's definitely coming but how far into Loudoun will it go?

If you like planned communities, consider Ashburn, Brambleton, Broadlands, Lansdowne, River Creek, and South Riding... all within reach of the job-rich Northern Virginia employment centers.

Are you a dual personality? Career driven by day, but at night want to ride your horse or tractor? Then consider one of our beautiful small towns: Aldie, Bluemont, Lovettsville, Hamilton, Purcellville or Round Hill.

To add to what the previous posters have said about the area and the commute...

Loudoun County has a commuter bus service from Leesburg and Dulles to the Pentagon. I've talked with people who commute this way and this seems to be a great alternative to sitting in traffic and the commute times aren't bad. Western Loudoun County has a number of small towns & villages that retain their historic charm and there are historic homes with loads of charm to be found in certain price points. Keep in mind that Loudoun has been one of the nation's fastest growing counties in the past number of years so the vast majority of homes available on the market are relatively new and part of planned communities. However, with a patient and well-thought out home search, I'm confident you will find your "special place to call home" in Loudoun!
