I saw that you said " I am perfectly happy with not going through with the contract. I dont want to spend one more dime on this property" What are you going to do with the property if you do not sell it? One day you will have to have the gas meter connected if anyone is going to live in the home, why not now, then you can walk away with at least something, I am assuming you have spent money on the property already...It would be such a waste to let the buyer go at this time.
