Crharland, When negotiating the short sale, I would also try negotiate the credit reporting aspect. Some specialized short sale attorneys have been successful at lessening the actual negative credit impact of the lender to the bureaus. Yes, there is a negative impact on credit, but.....MUCH less than a foreclosure, and usually you will be able to purchase thru an FHA loan w/in 2 years of the short. - Yesterday, 06:00
