4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageBe cautious. Do not move into a high tax county if you have a child who struggles with any type of “non visible” condition & will need a compassionate school administration to help w/a a plan for academic success. We pay high taxes in this district & get very little help w/a success plan for our child. We have met with the school administration consistently (I schedule regular meetings) & have offered our suggestions base on countless hours of research & meetings with our child’s care team. We have been discouraged by the school in creating an IEP. We aren’t the experts in academics & try to balance what advice the administration has with what our attorney has suggested (inquired w/our attorney after the school threatened filing truancy against our family due to our child’s absences; which are tied to the medical condition). Our child has a long history of high grades (A-B student) within this district. Only this year has been a struggle & the administration is not helping us. It’s truly heartbreaking. The worst is watching our child feel abandoned by the school. This only exasperates the situation.Parent Review1mo ago - Harrisburg North MS - 08

"Great place to raise a family. There are walking trails, and a beautiful downtown area to enjoy the daytime and night "

"There is a lot of open spaces here and also lots of other dogs and dog owners. Apartments can be a bit on the small side for keeping an animal. Dogs that bark often here will probably result in some sort of complaint being filed. "

"I have not seen any community events in the area. We usually travel for community events to whatever location are being held. "

"A surprisingly quiet neighborhood , a mix of families , single professionals, and students. mostly rentals owned by Sanford so some properties are not as maintained as others. "

"Neigubors are friendly. Yards are well kept. Dog walkers are mindful to keep dogs on the sidewalk vs your yard when walking and if they happen to go on your yard and poop they always pick up after them selves. Good schools. Low crime. Neighborhood kids are behaved. And for the most part neighbor hood is quiet. The occasional BBQ’s here and there but normally you get a plate of food out of it and usually an invite. And most importantly in my opinion no speeders on the street. Best neighborhood to relax and or raise a family. "

"If you want a quiet rich neighborhood with deer pheasant and duck in your back yard on a bit over an acre this is for you. No sidewalks. We had triplet deer fawns born in our back yard this year. A big buck comes through every now and then. Pheasants doing mating dances. He will crow sometimes. Hawks hunt rabbits and eat them on your mailbox. And 9 ducklings hatched on the back patio. "

"Lots of dog owners and walkers who follow the leash laws out of respect for the non dog owners. Most pick up after their pets. My family has lived in the neighborhood for 4 generations and there is a small bungalow with a large corner yard on this particular block that seems to get used as a dog area, but we don’t have a sign that says stay off the grass. The campus is a nice area to walk and a few near by parks, as well as a couple dog parks in town."

"This neighborhood has mostly older couples or families in it. SF doesn’t really get into “holidays “ like other places I’ve lived. But it’s nice for the most part. It has its bad parts, bad people like any where, but for the most part it’s nice here. Except in the wintertime, unless you like snow, ice and low low temperatures "
