5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIt's a good school I really like it. The teachers are great. However, when I got in a fight with a kid for calling me names and starting the fight they completely justified everything the kid did. Overall though it's a good schoolStudent Review5y ago - Grant High School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe teachers are not engaged with their students and they overall do not know how to teach. The students are completely, unbelievably, left on their own with no support from teachers or their fellow students. Some teachers are somewhat good but most only care about getting the job done so they can get paid, which is kinda sad considering they don't even get paid that much. Many students do not feel like they are learning anything because of classroom interruptions and because of the teachers poor job of teaching. I go to grant currently and I'm surprised I even knew how to use a chrome book because of their poor education to us students. The teachers do not care how the students feel. I have cried in class before and the teacher has told me to go sit in the hallway because I was "interrupting class". I'm sorry if me crying for a legitimate reason interrupts the learning process of students who aren't even paying attention, but maybe you should ask me if I'm okay or if I want to talk about it after class. Also teachers think using the bathroom is a privilege and its not. There is no control over my bladder and I can't help it. A student needed to go to the bathroom for feminine reasons and the teacher told her to wait till the end of class which ends at 10:50 and it was only 10 o'clock. Overall this school is not a good place for your kids and no one in their right mind should send their kids here. If you want your kids to do well in life don't send them to Grant.Parent Review1y ago - Pollock Elementary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AveragePollock Elementary was the first school my youngest attended. I really didnt know how good we had it until we moved and he had to go elsewhere...so much so that we came back, and I am determined not to move out of their district until he finishes 6th grade. To address another comment made here-There are no trailers that children are taught in, as stated by someone else the only outer buildings are for the health center. And with regards to not having ID checked, this is a small community and school, and when I go in they do not check mine either...because they recognize me and know me by name! They did, however, check when I sent someone else to pick him up the first time. I have no worries for his safety.I want to add that my child is special needs, and their SPED department and health center are top notch! My son is autistic and epileptic, and Pollock has been the best place for accommodating all of his needs. I have seen the other side and I now know how fortunate we are to be here.Every member of staff I have encountered seems to genuinely be interested in the betterment of their students, and that is a rarity. Yes, the building is fairly old, but it is clean and safe...and the people in it have made a world of difference for my son!Other Review7y ago - Check out schools near 245-249 & 253 Dyson Creek Rd.
