Management Team
Trulia CEO Pete Flint
Pete Flint, Founder, CEO

Pete has a strong background in technology and consumer online services, having worked for organizations including IBM, JP Morgan and Battery Ventures. Most notably, Pete handled Interactive Marketing and Business Development for Europe's largest online travel company, lastminute.com. As part of the original launch team, he helped grow the company to more than 2,000 employees in 12 countries and over $1 billion in annual transactions, resulting in the company's acquisition in 2005 by Travelocity for more than $1.1 billion.

Pete earned his Master's degree in Physics from the University of Oxford and his MBA from Stanford University. His inspiration for Trulia came from the challenges he faced during his own home research online, after which he committed to build an intuitive online search tool to help fellow home buyers locate and make sense of the vast amount of real estate information on the Web, combined with a business model that made sense for brokers and agents.


Trulia COO Sami Inkinen
Sami Inkinen, Founder, COO

Sami brings to Trulia solid management and consulting experience in technology and software development. He has worked on Microsoft's strategy team for MS Office, on various business development initiatives for Nokia, and as a consultant for McKinsey & Company within the software, telecommunications and government sectors. Sami combines his Blue Chip experience with an entrepreneurial background, including the successful launch and sale of his first company, Matchem, a wireless software provider enabling television broadcasters to deliver interactive programming to target audiences in Europe and Asia via innovative cell phone technology.

Sami received his Master's in Engineering from Helsinki University of Technology and his MBA from Stanford University. An avid endurance sports athlete, he applies the same passion for sports to new technology and the creation of a user-friendly online search experience to benefit real estate professionals and consumers alike.


Trulia VP Daniele Farnedi
Daniele Farnedi, Vice President, Engineering

As VP of Engineering, Daniele is responsible for all technical development and operations at Trulia. Prior to Trulia, Daniele served as Director of Engineering at Shopping.com, a leading online comparison shopping service which has over 20 million monthly visitors, completed an initial public offering in October 2004, and was then acquired by eBay. Prior to Shopping.com, Daniele was Director of Software Engineering at Looksmart, an online advertising and vertical search technology company, where he led natural and paid search development. He also contributed in technical roles to organizations across Europe and the US, including Barclays Global Investors, Logica-Finsiel, and IBM-University of Bologna.

Daniele holds a Laurea in Electrical Engineering with full marks from the University of Bologna, Italy. He is a member of IEEE Computer Society and ACM and enjoys competing in downhill skiing and mountain bike races.


Trulia VP Emmanuel Faure
Emmanuel Faure, Vice President, Product & User Experience

Emmanuel has over a decade of experience at Internet companies, where he has spent his career focused on understanding the customer, deepening customer relationships, and developing product strategy. Before joining Trulia, he served as Director of Global Market research at Yahoo!, where he managed all research for key business units including Mail, Community, Front Doors and Small Business. Prior to that, Emmanuel was Director of Marketing Intelligence at Medscape and Manager of Data Insights at Netscape. At Trulia, Emmanuel is responsible for product strategy, product marketing, design and user experience.

Emmanuel earned a Master in Management from ESCEM School of Business and Management (France). He received an MBA from the Mays Business School at Texas A&M University. He has also participated in executive education programs through INSEAD and Wharton.


Trulia VP Heather Mirjahangir Fernandez
Heather Mirjahangir Fernandez, Vice President, Marketing

Heather brings to Trulia a diversity of marketing and communications experience across a number of industries. As Vice President of Marketing, Heather is responsible for developing the company’s marketing and communications strategy, and managing the team responsible for industry, consumer and community marketing. Before joining Trulia in August 2006, Heather was an Associate at Morgan Stanley in San Francisco. Prior to that, Heather worked as a communications consultant as Director of the Impact Group at Blanc & Otus Public Relations.  

Her past experience also includes work in the political sphere. Heather served as Deputy Press Secretary for Senator John McCain’s 2000 presidential bid. She also served as press secretary in the U.S. House of Representatives for various members of Congress.   

Heather received her MBA from Stanford University and her BA in political science from the University of California, Berkeley.

Trulia is backed by Accel Partners, Sequoia Capital and angel investors and has raised approximately $33 million in funding.

Trulia Investor Greg Waldorf
Greg Waldorf
Trulia's founding investor and board member, Greg is a venture capitalist and entrepreneur who has worked extensively with technology-enabled growth companies and has made numerous investments with long-time investing partner, Fayez Sarofim & Co. Greg has assumed a leading role in several successful organizations including: founding investor in eHarmony, where he currently serves as CEO; co-founder and CEO at Destination-U; founding investor of Wily Technology; venture investor in Avantgo, eGain, Qurb, and Vizu; and former general partner at Charles River Ventures. He also invested in public technology companies with Pacific Edge Investment Management.

Greg holds a BA from the University of California, Los Angeles, and an MBA from Stanford University. Since launching an internationally successful software and consulting company before high school, Greg has been cited on investing and technology matters in the New York Times, San Jose Mercury News, BusinessWeek and on CNBC. He is also co-founder of Startup, a non-profit organization providing business training for nearly 500 entrepreneurs. Greg is a member of the Hoover Institution Board of Overseers at Stanford University, and he was a founding member of the Stanford Graduate School of Business Management Board.


Trulia Investor Theresia Gouw Ranzetta
Theresia Gouw Ranzetta, Accel Partners
Theresia has been with Accel Partners since 1999, focusing primarily on software investments specific to security, technology-enabled services and consumer-oriented technologies. In addition to Trulia, she currently serves on the Board of Directors of Aceva Technologies, ForeScout, Glam Media, Interlace Systems, Imperva and Jasper Design Automation. She also led Accel's investments in CRS Retail Systems (acquired by Epicor), LetsTalk, PeopleSupport (PSPT) and Webroot and was part of the team responsible for investing in Walmart.com (WMT).

Theresia has worked as an entrepreneur, consultant and venture investor in the computer and communications industries since the late 1980s. Prior to joining Accel, she was founding Vice President of Business Development & Sales at Release Software, an encryption and payment technologies provider for the software industry. Theresia was instrumental in growing the company from $0 to $15 million in revenue.

Theresia holds a ScB in Engineering from Brown University, Magna Cum Laude, and an MBA from Stanford University.
