Original member of the iconic American band, The Beach Boys
7 bedrooms, 7 bathrooms, 4 stories on one acre
Want to live like a real ‘California Girl?’ – well now’s your chance to live in the Pebble Beach home of The Beach Boys’ original member, Mike Love. While the home is a spectacular Tuscan-style estate with stunning, hard-to-part-with ocean views, Love has been trying to sell the estate since 2009. According to the Wall Street Journal, Love originally listed the ‘Surfer’ spread in 2009 for $7.9M. It’s now back on the market and seeking a buyer at a lower list price of $5.995M.
Built in 2003, the 7-bedroom, 7-bathroom home sits on a coveted acre of land in scenic Pebble Beach, the seaside community famous for its incredible golf course and to-die-for coastline. Expansive and sprawling over four levels, the home has an elevator, wine cellar and tasting room, a game room, a gym and a screening room. Additionally, the home has a guest apartment with a separate kitchen.
The Wall Street Journal reported that the Loves are selling the home because their children are no longer in school in Pebble Beach. “It is a lifestyle change,” says Jacqueline Love, Mike’s wife. The couple has an obvious affinity for vacation towns, as their primary residence is in Incline Village, near world famous Lake Tahoe.
Steve and Noel Beutel of Sotheby’s International Realty hold the listing.

Rock solid Hollywood pair with incredible acting careers
5 bedrooms, 4.5 bathrooms, 4,410 square feet
Naomi Watts is on fire right now. Currently in Australia filming “The Grandmothers” with Robin Wright Penn, it was just announced that Naomi will play Princess Diana in the forthcoming biopic “Caught in Flight.” Humbled by the role, Watts said, “it is such an honor to be able to play this iconic role. Princess Diana was loved across the world and I look forward to rising to the challenge of playing her on screen.”
When she’s not busy filming and gushing about landing covetable roles, Watts and longtime love Liev Shreiber find time to make major luxury real estate deals. The duo just picked up a $3.95M loft in NYC’s TriBeCa neighborhood. Their latest move is placing their Brentwood mansion on the rental market for $20,000 a month. The rumor around town is that Miranda Kerr and Orlando Bloom were the latest tenants. Orlando and Kerr own in Los Angeles, but it was reported that they fled their home for something more private after being the victims of the “Bling Ring” of thefts that swept Hollywood from 2008-2009.
If the rumors are true, Miranda, Orlando and baby Flynn must be on to something new, because Watts’ and Shreiber’s extraordinary fully furnished lease becomes available on March 1st. The home is a warm, ivy covered retreat reminiscent of a contemporary villa in Provence. Tucked away behind gates at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac in the Helenas, one of Brentwood’s most romantic and coveted locations, the estate has lovely views and a true resort-like feel.
Distinctive architecture, rich materials/detailing and great sense of space and light can be found throughout. A charming courtyard entry leads to a formal living room, dining room, media room/den and an open kitchen/family room with breakfast area. All the home’s important rooms open through French doors to patios, a trellis covered outdoor living room, grassy yard, pool and gorgeous gardens. A fabulous master suite features a separate office, soaring ceilings, remodeled bathroom, balcony and views. The property is rounded out by two additional bedrooms in the main home and a 2-story guesthouse and gym.

Golf champion and World Golf Hall of Famer
4.9 acres, 9,500 square feet, 5 bedrooms, 6.5 bathrooms
Golf champ and Hall of Famer, Phil Mickelson, has put his Tuscan-style Rancho Santa Fe, CA home back on the market for the reduced price of $7.1 million, according to the Wall Street Journal.
Mr. Mickelson and wife Amy originally listed the 4.9 acre, 9,500-square-foot, five-bedroom home back in March of 2008 for about $11M. At the time, they had just moved into a larger estate nearby. With no buyers in sight for their former estate, the price was later slashed to $7.2 million before the home was eventually pulled it off the market in May 2011. To prep for an eventual sale, the home underwent some renovations, including the addition of a shower with Baccarat crystal fixtures and hand-laid tile mosaics.
Located on the west side of the prestigious Covenant community, the single-level estate features two guest homes and offers some of the most stunning, unobstructed sunset views in Rancho Santa Fe, a wealthy enclave of San Diego. A private road leads potential buyers to this incredible, one-of-a-kind, fully custom Tuscan villa. Built entirely on one level, the Mickelson’s home was designed and built with unparalleled attention to detail. Hand-plastered ceilings, a hand-carved fireplace of white Cantera stone, white Calcutta marble imported from Italy, cabinet hardware from Baltica of Romania and Bouvet of France, and a master suite shower featuring a curved-glass enclosure are just some of the amenities.
The property also includes a trophy room, gym, horseshoe pit and sand-swept putting green.
Phil and Amy Mickelson bought the home for $6 million in 2001. With this home for sale again, it has us asking “What will Phil Do Next?”
