The newly-single media mogul billionaire Rupert Murdoch is under contract to purchase the stunning penthouse at New York City’s One Madison building for $57.25 million.

As first reported by the Murdoch-owned Wall Street Journal, he is purchasing the top four floors of the chic One Madison building – the very same NYC condo building where Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen just bought a place for $14 million.

According to WSJ’s report, Murdoch bought floors 57 to 60, which total 10,160 square feet, from the developer, Related Companies. His purchase includes two units: a 6,850-square-foot triplex penthouse that had been on the market for $50 million (and toured by multiple A-list celebs, millionaires and billionaires), and a three-bedroom apartment on the floor below that had been listed for $16.5 million. Murdoch’s two One Madison apartments are unconnected, but could easily be combined, according to a representative from the developer.

The penthouse has five bedrooms, 5.5 bathrooms and a 586 square foot outdoor wraparound terrace. It also has an internal elevator. Rupert will be able to put his own personal touches on the place before he moves in – he bought it in ‘raw condition’ and will install his own finishes and decor.

Prior to this incredible purchase, Murdoch resided in a Fifth Avenue penthouse that he paid $44 million for in 2005. He and his wife of 13 years, Wendi Deng, recently divorced and she is keeping that residence as a part of the divorce settlement.

Right as the news of his divorce was coming to light, Murdoch purchased a 13-acre winery estate in Bel Air, CA for $28.8 million.

Diaz’s new Big Apple apartment has 3-bedrooms, 3.5-bathrooms, a home office and Southeast exposures with views of iconic NYC landmarks including the Statue of Liberty and Freedom Tower.

The living space has views galore and the master suite boasts coveted southeastern views and offers abundant closet space. The second and third bedrooms both have en suite bathrooms. Diaz’s apartment also features a large laundry/utility room and tons of closet space.

Additional amenities of the 3,022-square foot residence include custom-designed features including tilt and turn windows, lighting and marble and limestone countertops.

Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen are under contract to buy a stunning full-floor condo in New York City for $14 million.

First reported by the New York Post, Brady and Bundchen are buying an incredible 3-bedroom condo on the 47th floor of the famed One Madison building that was originally listed for $16.5 million.

Their new Manhattan digs are the highest single full-floor home at One Madison, and sits a few floors beneath the building’s three-floor, $50 million penthouse.

Accessed by a keyed elevator entrance that leads to a private foyer, Tom and Gisele’s new Gotham home features a gracious master bedroom suite, including a corner sitting room with North and East views, two walk-in closets and master bath with soaking tub, separate stall shower, double vanities and private bathroom. The other two bedrooms offer ensuite baths and generous closet space.

In the main living space, a great room connects to an open kitchen and separate dining area.

One Madison ran into financial woes almost immediately after it hit the market in 2007. Foreclosures and lawsuits plagued the high rise until it was taken over by new management, who were then able to attract A-list buyers.

Brady once owned a condo at Time Warner Center, which he sold for $17.5 million and Bündchen previously owned a triplex penthouse on West 11th Street, which she sold for $4.4 million.

Together, Brady and Bunchen were previously spotted checking out an $11.495 million duplex at 212 W 18th street before they settled on their new, incredible pad. On the West Coast, Tom, Gisele and their kids rest their heads in a $20 million-dollar, custom-built mansion with a moat.

Former star football player and current “Live! with Kelly and Michael” talk show host Michael Strahan has just relisted his TriBeCa loft.

Purchased in 2008 for $1.66 million, Strahan tried to give the space the heave-ho in 2010, putting it back on the market for $1.85 million.

According to his listing agent Frances Katzen of Douglas Elliman and Curbed NY, Strahan had used the 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom, 1,911 square-foot loft as a pied-a-terre and had plans to renovate but never quite got around to it. Instead, he leased the apartment out to a tenant when it failed to sell in 2010.

In a stronger market, Strahan is giving a potential sale another go, putting the place back on the market for $2.25 million.

Sans interior renovations, nothing seems to have changed inside the place except the decor. See what it looked like last time it was listed by checking out the former listing photos here.

Earlier this summer, Strahan made a $3 million profit on a “teardown” home in Bel Air that he flipped a year after purchasing it. He intended to make renovations and turn it into his West Coast dream home, but changed his mind and sold it for a major profit.

Rosie O’Donnell may be a rich and famous talk show host, but she’s also becoming proficient in the art of the house flip. After selling her Chicago brownstone for a slight loss after less than a year of ownership, Rosie is going for a big profit in New York City, where she recently listed her duplex penthouse for $10.95M. Rosie paid $8M for the 4 bedroom, 3 bath home, so if she gets full asking on the luxe penthouse, she’ll walk away with almost $3M in profit – more than enough to cover her losses from the Chicago sale.

She may already even have a buyer, as almost-bilionaire designer and “Project Runway” judge Michael Kors was spotted touring the home. According to the New York Post, Kors is on a feverish hunt for a new property in New York City, and he seemed to love Rosie’s pad. Will he make an offer and take it off O’Donnell’s hands? Time will tell on that one.

The penthouse apartment sits atop a converted hospital building in Greenwich Village that has been updated with every possible amenity. O’Donnell’s for-sale unit has a spacious living and dining room that transitions onto an expansive 429 square feet private terrace offering North and South city views. The penthouse also has a large chefs kitchen and an oversized master suite that features a large windowed walk-in closet and a luxurious master bath. Building amenities include 24 hour doorman and concierge, fitness center and rooftop garden.

The Post reports that “Rosie loved the apartment but needs more space…she’s selling the 12th Street place because she ‘prefers suburban life.’”

She also recently sold her $16M property on Miami’s Star Island.

Dennis Mangone of Douglas Elliman is Rosie’s listing agent.

Superstar and ‘Mother Monster’ Lady Gaga has just rented a New York City penthouse overlooking Central Park for $22,000 a month!  The global phemon was anywhere and everywhere you looked for years, but lately, she’s been keeping a lower profile as she recovers from the hip surgery she had in March 2013. Now, she has incredible place to kick up her feet as she continues down the road to recovery and ramps back up for her return to the spotlight.

According to Life & Style, her new penthouse rental at 40 Central Park South is in a super-fancy doorman building and features four terraces and unparalleled views of Central Park and Manhattan from every room. With terraces off almost every room, she has no neighbors on any side. The entrance foyer leads to a dramatic sunken living room with wood-burning fireplace and all glass overlooking Central Park. On either side of this great room are the first of two enormous bedrooms and a large formal dining room. Off of the dining room, Gaga will now have a granite chef’s kitchen with top-of-the-line appliances and a washer dryer.

Up a chic staircase, a private master suite features a huge walk-in closet (a must for Gaga’s insane fashions), another wood-burning fireplace, fabulous views and terraces on both sides.

They bought their new place in a secure building on East 26th Street for $10.5 million in March 2013, which led them to list their former home nearby for $4,475,000.   The moving van didn’t have to go far, as the couple moved just a stone’s throw from their former condo. In fact, both buildings are located in the stunning Flatiron District and have views of Madison Square Park.

He’s an investment banker, and she works on behalf of her father’s Clinton Global Initiative and sits on the board of IAC Interactive and the School of American Ballet. She also has a contract with NBC to do pieces that “make a difference.”
