    Finally something to sing about!

Songstress Sheryl Crow was singing a sad little tune after chopping $4 million off the asking price of her prized compound in Los Angeles earlier this year. Now, there’s a ‘sale pending’ sign hanging out front!

After listing for the first time in 2012 and trying to (unsuccessfully) sell her Hollywood Hills home for $15,950,000, Crow’s compound was delisted in December 2013 and came back on the market in April 2014 with a more down-to-earth ask of $11,950,000. At that new, lower price, a buyer finally emerged!

Set behind private gates, Crow’s Spanish-style compound sits atop a hill and is comprised of 3 houses that total more than 10,000 square feet on 10+ acres.  She purchased each home individually in and around 1998, and meticulously combined the properties over the next few years.

The main home is a remodeled and restored ‘Spanish Revival’ with 4 bedrooms, 3.5 baths, a 2-story entryway, chef’s kitchen, library, wine cellar and music room.

A second home is a Craftsman built in 1909, and has 4 bedrooms, 3 baths and views of the vistas of Hollywood.

The third home on the 10 acre property is a cottage that dates back to 1885, complete with a oak-floored kitchen, 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.

The entire compound is tied together with canyon pathways, trails, a tee pee, campsite, playground, palapas and a resort-style infinity pool.

A true treasure in the heart of Hollywood.

Crow’s had a hard time in the real estate game in recent years. This home sat on the market for months and months, and her equestrian property in College Grove, TN has also had a hard time finding a buyer, even after more than 2 years and nearly $2 million in price reductions. She just recently took that house off that market.

The rest of her portfolio includes two off-market properties. One is a $3.6M estate in Nashville, Tennessee and the other is a beachfront escape in Florida.

The listing agent for her Los Angeles estate is Myra Nourmand of Nourmand & Associates.

Actor James Marsden just dropped $1,834,075 on a Mid Century home in an exclusive neighborhood in the Hollywood Hills!

Built in 1959, the post-and-beam-style home is the quintessential Hollywood Hills home designed for indoor/outdoor living with timeless design.

Inside, Marsden’s new digs has wide spans of open living space and walls of glass that merge the indoors and out. When he needs privacy, James can retreat to a large master suite with a massive walk-in closet. Just down the hall, there’s two more large bedrooms. The fourth bedroom is a great versatile space, and would make either a great office or and additional guest suite.

The lush and private lot has a large swimming pool and spa and expansive outdoor entertaining areas.

James has become a household name via his roles in ‘The Notebook,’ ’27 Dresses’ and the X-Men series. James has parlayed all that on-screen success into a nice off-screen real estate portfolio. He currently owns two additional homes: a $1.3M home in Burbank, CA and his starter home in Studio City that he bought for $454,000 in June 1998.

        Bye, Bye Bird Streets!

Jodie Foster just sold her Hollywood Hills mansion in the famed Bird Streets after struggling to find a buyer. She listed the spread for $6.4 million in June 2013 and it languished on the market for more than a year. It took a couple price chops to get the deal done. Property records show the deal closed on October 6, 2014 for $4,995,000.

Foster purchased the home in 1995 from model Cheryl Tiegs. With a distinguished address and oodles of famous neighbors, Foster’s Spanish Villa was the ultimate celebrity hideaway for the notoriously private actress.

The home has 4 bedrooms, 4 full and 2 half bathrooms, an office and an attached guest suite. Adjacent to a formal dining room, a butler’s pantry leads to a stunning kitchen. A luxurious master suite features a sitting area, walk-in closets, fireplace and sauna.

Outside, the central courtyard pool and brick patio are shielded by a high-reaching hedge for the utmost seclusion – a must for the notoriously private Foster, who had never openly discussed her private life in the public until she outed herself in an emotional speech while accepting a lifetime achievement award at the Golden Globes.

In other real estate moves, Jodie sold her Beverly Hills mansion for $8.3 million in January 2012 and purchased a 5 bedroom, 6 bathroom, 3,752 square foot home in Beverly Hills for  $11,750,000 on June 25, 2012.

Actress Minnie Driver just wrote a check for $2,465,000. Her purchase? A 3 bedroom, 4 bathroom, 2,765 square foot traditional-style estate nestled in the Hollywood Hills.

Recently remodeled, Drivers new digs sit on a magnificently landscaped, private lot. The verdant setting features a lagoon pool, spa, waterfall, gazebo and large lawn areas for entertaining.

Impeccable taste and quality workmanship are reflected throughout the house and evident in the dark hardwood floors, cathedral ceilings and paneled wainscoting. The living room has a wood burning fireplace and a stunning diamond hatched bay window to take in the views.

A brand new kitchen has a farmhouse sink, stone countertops, beautiful cabinetry and a gracious breakfast room.

Minnie’s new master suite features French doors to the yard, a luxurious granite bathroom with soaking tub, a huge shower, double sinks and celebrity must-have: a custom-built walk-in closet.

All bedrooms are en-suite, and the third bedroom has a separate entrance, ideal for use as an office or guest suite.

The gated property has a two car garage, parking for eight additional cars, and another celebrity homes must-have: a primo security system.

Driver has lived for nearly two decades in a home nearby, which she bought for $775,000 in 1998. She still currently owns that property, but with this new purchase, be on the look out for the listing soon!

Eric Lowry of Coldwell Banker represented the home’s sellers, and Joe Reichling of Sotheby’s International Realty was Minnie Driver’s real estate agent.

            $3,500,000

Jake Gyllenhaal is selling his gated Hollywood Hills house for $3.5 million!

Gyllenhaal has morphed into an A-list actor during his tenure in Hollywood, and off-screen, he’s a very popular choice for a semi-temporary boyfriend by many actresses and singers, including Kirsten Dunst, Reese Witherspoon, Taylor Swift, Rachel McAdams and others.

When he’s not stepping out with the hottest young thing in Hollywood, Gyllenhaal holes up in this gated compound on almost two acres of land. Perfect for staying out of the limelight, the home is located down a private drive and has sensational panoramic views. Insiders even say they’re some of the best in L.A.

The lushly-landscaped, estate-size lot has trails and a large, sprawling grassy yard.

The one-story home itself may appeal to the geriatric set, but what it lacks in modern amenities and of-the-moment trends, it makes up for with charm, space and light throughout.

The home also embraces the sprawling acreage and opens up to a large swimming pool and multiple entertaining areas.

The Real Estalker first reported the listing and hinted that Jake may have been renting the place out for the last couple years and living elsewhere. He put down $2.5 million for the home in 2005 and has recently been spotted house-hunting in New York.

Denny Kagasoff of Berkshire Hathaway Home Services holds the listing.

              $2,995,000

‘American Pie’ and ‘Orange is the New Black’ actor Jason Biggs has just listed his Mid-Century Modern home in the Hollywood Hills for $2,995,000.

In a prime Sunset Strip location, the swank home has a semi-private drive and is walled and gated for the utmost privacy. The hillside locale highlights city-to-ocean views within this 2,756 square foot home, which Biggs purchased from Wonder Years actor Fred Savage in 2007 for $2,249,000.

The main level provides generous open-concept living room, vaulted ceilings and abundant light with a great room, dining room and kitchen areas all opening up to both the view and the pool/terrace.

The first floor is completed by a spacious office or den, a massive en-suite guest room and courtyard-access, a secured garage and a large dog run.

Elsewhere inside, Biggs’ Master suite has the same explosive views, a luxe en-suite bath, and a sensational media/screening room with its own bath and state-of-the-art entertainment system.

The reason for the move? Perhaps Jason and his wife, Jenny Mollen, are looking for a place that’s a bit more family-friendly. Married since 2008, the duo welcomed their first child, a boy named Sid, in February 2014.

Peter Maurice of Rodeo Realty holds the listing.

Hat tip to the Los Angeles Times, who first reported on the listing.

‘The 70’s Show’ actor Topher Grace has just put his Hollywood Hills hideaway on the market for $1,895,000.

Topher bought the place in January 2006 for $1,275,000 from actor Jesse Metcalf.

Tiny by Hollywood standards, the home has 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and 1,799 square feet.

Described by his real estate agent as a “picturesque pied de terre,” the home sits on a private cul-de-sac off of Sunset Plaza. What it lacks in square footage and space, it makes up for in location, location, location!

The single-level home has a great open floor plan, with hardwood floors and soft, natural night throughout.

The gourmet kitchen has custom cabinetry, and the master bedroom has a huge walk-in closet, plus a sumptuous bath.

Tophers’s tiny pad has a seamless indoor/outdoor flow to a sparkling pool and  several lush outdoor spaces for lounging and entertaining.

Topher joins his other ‘That 70’s Show’ cast mates, Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis, on the real estate merry-go-round. Ashton just sold his bachelor pad for $9.92 million, and Mila is asking nearly $4 million for her single gal spread.

Justin Bieber has a new crib – and it’s perfect for the young bad boy.

Pop’s young prince has decamped from his rented Beverly Hills condos and moved into a sprawling Hollywood Hills home that has its own night club!

Justin is taking advice from Miley Cyrus, who, on a appearance on Jay Leno, told him “you have a lot of money…buy a house with a night club.” Done and done.

Seems like sound advice for Justin, who seems to run into trouble every time he leaves the house.

Now Justin can party his heart out – at home. His new rental has an 80-foot long disco with bar, lights and sound system. If that wasn’t enough, the place has a fully-equipped gym, pool table, ping pong enclave and three bars. Three bars.

The 16,000 square foot all-glass contemporary estate has 10 bedrooms, including two master suites with huge closets. The in-home movie theater has a 160-inch screen (where Justin was just spotted watching a movie with manager Scooter Braun and friends).

A floating glass staircase (or elevator) takes Justin and his entourage from one level to the next. Outside, an amazing 80-foot-long pool has a four-foot high blue glass tile rendition of the famed Hollywood sign running the length of the pool.

The house has a huge outdoor deck and three yards all suspended into the amazing city view.

Justin famously clashed with his neighbors in Calabasas, finally selling the place to Khloe Kardashian and renting in Atlanta for a hot minute. He was back on the West Coast again, this time shacking up in two condo units in a brand new Beverly Hills building. He also pissed off every neighbor in that building, before moving to this glass party palace in the Hollywood Hills.

The home is owned by developer Danny Fitzgerald, and was listed briefly for $8.9 million.

Ashton Kutcher just sold his sleek Hollywood Hills bachelor pad for $9,925,000!

The ‘Two and a Half Men” actor bought the sleek hills pad two years ago, paying $8.455 million. In May 2014, it was rumored that he was quietly shopping it for $12,000,000.

In 2012, he rented the pad for a rumored $50,000 a month for a couple months before officially making it his. At the time that he bought, he was recently separated from now-ex-wife Demi Moore and needed a new place to call home. Shortly after moving into his bachelor pad, Kutcher stepped out with former ‘That 70′s Show” co-star Mila Kunis. Two years later, the duo are engaged and expecting their first child – a girl!

With all those life changes, Kutcher’s spectacular bachelor pad doesn’t exactly scream “family home.” It was rumored that Mila wanted to bring up baby in a more family-friendly home, and those rumors were confirmed when the duo snapped up a very family-friendly place in Beverly Hills for about $10,000,000.

With a new family home and a baby due any minute, it was time for Kutcher to part with his former party pad. In the same vein,  Mila just listed her single girl spread nearby, asking $3,995,000.

With their bachelor and bachelorette pad sell-offs in full swing, Kutcher’s glassy house had to go. The three-story home overlooks Lake Hollywood with fully retractable walls of glass. The floating dining room area opens to stunning views. The home also has a state-of-the-art gourmet kitchen, private screening room, bar area and gym/massage room. The striking master suite boasts ample use of glass and wood, magnificent views and a spa-like master bath. A variety of outdoor spaces include enclosed gardens, outdoor rooms, infinity pool, cantilevered decks and an open sky terrace.

Fun Fact: Justin Bieber, who recently sold his Calabasas home to Khloe Kardashian, was very, very interested in purchasing the home in 2011, but Ashton swooped in and bought it out from under him. The buyer remains unknown, but with Bieber’s current issues with his neighbors, this could have been a good buy for the young bad boy.

Mila Kunis is patiently waiting the arrival of her daughter with Ashton Kutcher, and while they wait for baby, she’s putting one part of her former life behind her. She just listed her bachelorette pad in the Hollywood Hills for $3,995,000.

Mila had been cohabiting with Ashton in his glassy mansion for months, and just after they found out they were expecting, they bought a gorgeous Beverly Hills estate to bring up baby in.

Mila’s single-girl spread was purchased by Mila on September 15, 2008 for $2,885,000. The home is an elegant Mediterranean compound with unparalleled views of Los Angeles.

Seated on a private cul de sac, Mila’s beautiful compound has been completely redone from top to bottom, with no expense overlooked.
