Artist, dancer and actor who's had multiple brushes with the law
6-bedroom, 10 bath rental with dance floor, commercial ice-cream bar, billiards room, private dance studio
When Hip-Hop’s bad boy Chris Brown goes house hunting, his must-haves include all the amenities that make up the ultimate party palace. Given he was essentially pushed out of his former Hollywood Hills bachelor pad due to feuds with the city and his neighbors, it’s no surprise he was determined on landing bigger and better entertaining grounds. Well Brown has done it again and has now found his party’s final resting place: an 8,128 square-foot San Fernando Valley rental.
With all the unique luxe amenities, this new home is nothing short of another exquisite adult playground. Paying a hefty $15,500 a month, Brown enjoys a sprawling, furnished estate with 6 bedrooms, 10 baths, a dance floor, commercial ice-cream bar, billiards room, private dance studio, detached pool cabana/ tennis clubhouse and a 75-car parking lot.
Showing a slight resemblance to his former quirky Hollywood Hills condo, the new estate also features contemporary aesthetic with neon accents, a light and bright interior and glass walls.
Fit for an entertaining guru, this new pad is a slice of heaven on earth, however, every rose has its thorn. Shortly after settling in, TMZ reported one of Brown’s new neighbor isn’t too pleased with his neighborhood’s newest addition. The opinionated neighbor has been quoted saying that he would shoot the singer if he were to ever step foot onto his property.
Brown may have thought moving to a more secluded Los Angeles area would help him escape any pestering neighbor, city or police trouble – but he was dead wrong.
Nothing’s for sure, but potential neighbor headaches may have been why Brown took the non-committal approach of renting vs. buying.

After dropping $40 million on Tom Brady and Gisele’s insane French Chateau-style mansion, Dr. Dre just listed his former home in the ‘Bird Streets’ of the Hollywood Hills for $35 million.
The rapper, producer and headphone mogul just inked a deal with Apple to sell the company he started with music industry legend Jimmy Iovine for $3 billion.
With all that extra cash, the already ballin mogul is now a certified billionaire with money to burn.
Dre’s first splurge? A major mansion upgrade.
With the purchase of Tom and Gisele’s mansion, Dr. Dre is moving on to the ‘Next Episode’ and selling his 6 bedroom, 9 bathroom, 9,696 square foot home for $35 million.
Dre purchased the home on December 21, 2011 for $15,400,000.
According to the listing, Dre’s for-sale estate is “without question, the best View estate in the city.” Perched atop a promontory and gated at the end of a cul-de-sac, this home has a jetliner 300 degree vista with lights sparkling from downtown to the Pacific Ocean. With a flat, expansive, grassy yard, infinity edge pool – all overlooking the most striking views and setting in Los Angeles. Hip hop pioneer and business mogul
7,175 square feet of interior space and approximately 3,500 square feet of exterior space; 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms
Russell Simmon’s high-priced NYC penthouse has hip hopped back onto the market. According to the fine folks at Curbed, Simmons has re-listed the place for $11M. This particular penthouse has a storied past on the real estate market. It originally made an appearance with an $11M price tag and almost sold to none other than fellow hip hop impresario Sean ‘P. Diddy’ Combs, but the deal fell through right after 9/11. When Simmons failed to sell to Diddy, the price fell to $8.2M. Without a buyer in sight, Simmons pulled the listing and presumably continued to live in the killer pad. 10 years and some extensive remodels later, the penthouse is back on the market for…$11M. The very same asking price as a decade ago.
Simmon’s penthouse is dubbed the ‘Lady Liberty Penthouse.’ This Financial District duplex penthouse condo has 7,175 square feet of interior space and approximately 3,500 square feet of exterior space, making it the ultimate downtown residence. A private landing leads you to phenomenal entertaining areas, living room, dining room, screening room, huge chef’s kitchen with breakfast room, library w/gas fireplace, 4 bedrooms, 4 full baths and a powder room. Throughout, 12 foot ceilings create a sense of volume.
In addition, there is a staff room with full bath, laundry room, closets galore – and that is just the lower level. Four exposures, barrel vaulted ceilings and handsome oak strip floors add to the uniqueness of Simmon’s property. The grand circular and architectural staircase takes you to the upper level which houses the sun flooded grand master suite, two huge setback terraces, a very cozy den, a kitchenette and much more.
