Actress, comedienne and all around funny girl, Nicole Sullivan, is selling her beautiful gated estate in Los Angeles.

The ‘MadTV’ actress is asking $1,699,000 for her 5 bedroom, 4 bathroom, 3,444 square foot estate with a guest house and pool.

What’s not funny – she’s listing at a loss. She purchased the place in January 2007 for $1,810,000, so unless she gets way over asking for the estate, she’s going to lose some money on the deal.

Located at 3001 Passmore Drive in the hills of LA, Sullivan, her husband Jason Packham and their two sons called this French Country estate on a 30,000 square foot lot ‘home sweet home.’

The remodeled main house still retains vintage detailing from the 1920′s and boasts five bedrooms, all on one floor.

A converted ‘Chauffer’s quarters’ with a separate entrance is the perfect office or study.

Outside, meandering paths lead through rolling and flat lawns, mature lush gardens, organic planter boxes, and stone patios.

The pool area is adjoined by a covered cabana, perfect for al fresco dining and days spent outdoors with friends and family.

Perfect for visitors, in-laws, etc, a  separate 1 bedroom/ 1 bathroom guest house has views and enjoys complete privacy.

Sullivan also has another, smaller LA-area home that she bought in 2000 for $465,000.

Boni Bryant of Sotheby’s holds the impressive listing.

The "unsellable" estate sat on the market for more than $7 years, with a $125 million price tag

50,000 square foot home on 4.6 acres, 600 foot tree-lined driveway, pool, 3,000 square foot wine cellar

One of the world’s most incredible ‘mega-mansions’ just had a mega sale!

The world famous ‘Fleur De Lys’ mansion in the Beverly Hills enclave of Holmby Hills just sold to ‘junk bond king’ Michael Milken for $102 million IN CASH, as first reported by Lauren Beale at the Los Angeles Times.

Fleur De Lys was sold by socialite Suzanne Saperstein, who custom-built the mansion in 2002 with her then-husband, Metro Networks founder and billionaire David Saperstein. They divorced just three years after the home was completed and she received the property as part of her divorce settlement. She first listed property in 2007 for $125 million and never once wavered on the asking price.

The estate is 50,000 square feet of living space, which includes innumerable rooms, a 3,000 square foot wine cellar, a grand ballroom, a marble-floored two-story entry hall, gold paneled ceilings and much more grandeur.

Outside, two motor courts, a 600-foot tree-lined driveway, a pool, spa and sprawling lawns are just mere highlights of the 4.6 acre estate.

As the LA Times reported, Michael Milken bought the home through an LLC tied to the Milken Institute in Santa Monica, a nonpartisan think tank chaired by the businessman and philanthropist.

Los Angeles-based super agent Kurt Rappaport of the Westside Estate Agency represented Saperstein in the sale and Fred Bernstein, also of the Westside Estate Agency, represented the Milken, who reportedly beat out billionaires from England and China in a bidding war for the pricey estate.

Gwyneth Paltrow and her Coldplay rocker husband Chris Martin have just spent $14 million on a seaside escape in Malibu.

First reported by The Real Estalker, Paltrow and Martin purchased ‘The Garwood Residence,’ designed by world-renowned architect, John Lautner. This secluded and gated Malibu estate in the heart of the celebrity-infested Point Dume area is inspired by the award winning luxury brand, Aman Resorts.
Inside the four bedroom post-and-beam estate, Gwyneth and Chris’s new home has heated sandstone floors, a Chef’s Kitchen, and a unique floor plan encompassing both indoor and outdoor living space.
The estate’s grounds offer ocean views, landscaped gardens, a pebble stone pool, tennis court, gym and yoga studio. It is set on Malibu’s most coveted beach, Little Dume, which offers a protected backyard anchorage for a yacht, should they decide to scoop one up in the future.

The famous (and incredibly rich) duo own a massive estate in London, a place in New York City and in 2012, they spent about $10 million for an equestrian estate in Los Angeles.

After enduring rumors for the past six months that Vanity Fair magazine was expected to publish a sensational and damaging ‘takedown’ piece about the actress, she undoubtedly needs a place to escape from the madness of life in the public eye – and this seaside escape is just the place.

Inside sources say they’ve already had design firm Windsor Smith into the home to ‘do it over’ and they’ve moved in.

At just 5-foot-11, Johnson was dubbed the “Little General” during his years on the San Antonio Spurs, but there is nothing “little” about the 7-bedroom, 10-bathroom, 14,369 square foot estate at 23 Grand Colonial Drive in The Woodlands, TX, a community in the Houston-area.

Listed for $7,500,000, Johnson’s home was built on the 17th Hole of the Jack Nicklaus Signature Course at The Club at Carlton Woods. Inside, museum-quality finishes include ornate stone work, hand-scraped wood floors, heirloom feel built-ins, pristine wall treatments and murals.

Outside, the private and gated estate features a motor court, full basketball/sport court, incomparable pool and gorgeous grounds.

Johnson’s been seeking a buyer for the past year, and he originally asked $9 million for the estate.

Billionaire Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen has just paid $27 million for a sprawling mansion in Atherton, CA, a ritzy town in the heart of Silicon Valley.

According to Forbes, Allen has a net worth of $15.8 billion dollars, and he’s an avid collector of trophy properties and yachts. His newest acquisition was purchased via a family trust and the deal closed on November 12, 2013.

Allen lives full-time in the Seattle area, where he has a sprawling, state-of-the-art residence on tony Mercer Island, with a yacht parked out front. He also owns multi-million-dollar properties all over the world, including Cap Ferrat in France, Hawaii, Malibu, Manhattan, Idaho, Beverly Hills and London.

Aside from his residences, Allen has a world-class collection of World War II aircraft, a fleet of private jets and two yachts. A yachting enthusiast, he has a 303-foot-long, $125 million yacht named Tatoosh, and a 414-foot long superyacht named Octopus. Octopus costs an estimated $400,000 a week to operate.

Allen started on his road to riches in 1975, when he co-founded Microsoft with Bill Gates. In 1983, he he left the company after a cancer diagnosis, which he battled successfully. Allen is still a major Microsoft shareholder and an avid investor.  Since the 80′s, he has been involved in a strong of high-profile investments, including buying the Portland Trail Blazers NBA team in 1988, the Seattle Seahawks NFL team in 1997, and co-founding the Frank Gehry-designed Experience Music Project Museum in 2000 in Seattle.

Allen recently opened an arm of his investment firm, Vulcan Capital, in Palo Alto, to “focus on expanding the firm’s investments in the Internet and technology sectors,” according to a corporate announcement. With that entree into Silicon Valley, his newest purchase in nearby Atherton makes sense.

Allen’s brand new Northern California property was listed in late September for $31.8 million, but Allen ended up closing the deal for $27 million. The newly-built estate sits on an impressive 1.97 acre lot, and has 6 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms, a spa, theater and 7 fireplaces in the 22,005 square foot main home. Adjacent, the guest home has 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a full kitchen and a 5-car garage that also includes a House Manager Suite.

The home at 10346 Moorpark St, is a former walnut orchard where Bob and Delores Hope built their dream mansion in 1939. Bob Hope died in 2003 at the age of 100 and his widow Dolores Hope died in 2011 at 102 years old.

Now, the couple’s estate has put the home on the market with a $27.5 million dollar asking price. The Tolucan reported the imminent listing in November 2012, when a garage sale was held to clear out many of the Hope’s belongings.

The walled, gated and private Toluca Lake compound consists of 4 parcels totaling 5.16 acres. The original English Traditional main home was designed by architect Robert Finkelhor and then remodeled in the 1950′s by architect John Elgin Woolf. However, Mandel isn’t giving it away on one of his four game show gigs. Instead, he’s looking for a lucky buyer as he’s relisted it on the open market for a cool $7,750,000.

Back in December 2011, the former “Deal or No Deal” host had originally put the home up for sale and was looking to lock in a deal of his own for $7,250,000. Since taking down the original listing, Mandel is now taking a gamble in hopes of winning big by relisting the property for $500k more.

Unveiled in 2009, the home boasts five bedrooms, five and a half baths, an office, theater, gym, and guesthouse.
