Talk show host Ellen Degeneres‘ side gig as a house flipper is proving to be a seriously lucrative endeavor.

Reports have just emerged that Ellen and wife Portia de Rossi have just sold the Brody House, also known as “The Best House in LA” to tech savant Sean Parker. Parker was famously portrayed by Justin Timberlake in the Oscar-nominated “The Social Network.”

According to TMZ, Ellen just sold the house to Parker for $55 million. That’s $15 million more than the $40 million she paid for it less than a year ago. TMZ’s sources tell them that “Parker approached Ellen and Portia late last month with the offer … he went nuts over the famous house and Ellen’s interior design.  We’re told even though she never intended to flip the house, she couldn’t refuse a good deal.  The escrow was all of 8 days.  It closed last Thursday.”

Parker’s swank new home is 13,511 square feet, with 6 bedrooms, 9.5 bathrooms, a pool, gym and more, all on 2.3 acres in prime Beverly Hills

The change of ownership isn’t yet reflected in property records, so until then, this is just a mansion-sized rumor. We wouldn’t put it past Ellen and Portia, though. In 2012, they bought Brad Pitt’s Malibu bachelor pad, and then flipped it back on the market seven months later. When the home sold shortly thereafter, they made $1,000,000 profit.

It’s reported that Ellen and Portia have moved on to two adjacent, high-priced condos in Beverly West. They still own a massive estate in Santa Barbara. With their past in real estate, no doubt they’ll be on to their next project before you know it.

Cassandra Peterson, the actress most famous for playing Elvira, The Mistress of the Dark, has purchased herself a light and bright new home in Los Angeles. According to property records, Peterson purchased the sweet retreat on July 30, 2012 for $925,000. For a woman famous for playing a dark character, her new home is surprisingly cheery and warm.

The three-bedroom, three-bathroom, 1,605-square-foot home is prime for entertaining, having gone through a complete restoration in 2009. Aside from the bedrooms, the house features a separate 400-square-foot bonus room that has a ¾ bath and private garden. In total, the home contains 2,000 square feet of beautiful, finished space. It also has a large living room, fireplace, formal dining room, and spacious eat-in kitchen. All rooms have tall windows for light and charm. The large brick patio entertaining area and barbeque opens to a stunning sitting area with fountain.

Peterson has a history of living in homes that are the antithesis of her on-screen persona. Almost a decade ago, she owned the home on Valley Oak Drive that Giovanni Ribisi bought earlier this year. She’d previously lived next door to Ribisi’s current digs, but sold that house to Brad Pitt and moved into the home next door!

Ellen and Portia have just taken another ride on the real estate merry-go-round. The married duo have just sold the Malibu beach home that they purchased from Brad Pitt 7 short months ago. According to The Real Estalker and public records, Ellen and Portia purchased the home for $12M in December 2011 and sold the home in June 2012 for $13M to cosmetics entrepreneur Victoria Jackson. That’s a nice profit after less than a year of ownership.

What’s the skinny on Ellen and Portia’s dearly departed Malibu manse? The ‘house that Brad built‘ is fully equipped with its own private beach entrance. The combined living space is made up of two separate homes overlooking the Pacific Ocean and Point Mugu State Park and features stunning panoramic views throughout. The grounds include a tennis court, pool, and lavish landscaping, allowing for privacy. The property boasts a very modern design with glass walls, sleek ceiling, over sized chandeliers, and stainless steel appliances.

The duo seemed to have made the buying and selling of real estate an expensive hobby of theirs. They recently sold their massive Beverly Hills compound to Ryan Seacrest to the tune of about $37.5M. They then bought the former Beverly Hills home of Hollywood mega-producer Robert Cort for $17.4M. They also have an equestrian estate in Hidden Hills on the market for $16.5M.Dizzy yet?

A long, beloved run as Rachel on Friends and a breakout star in feature films

          Home Stats

3+ acres on a private promontory, 4 bedrooms, 6.5 bathrooms

          Price

          $21,000,000

One of the most prolific celeb real estate buyers and sellers is at it again – Miss Jennifer Aniston has reportedly plopped down a whopping $21,000,000 for a 3+ acre Bel Air mansion that boasts 8,500 square feet of living space, 4 bedrooms and 6.5 bathrooms. According to TMZ, Aniston was under contract to purchase the home and was getting title on the home today!

Designed by famed architect A. Quincy Jones, the house has been meticulously restored to be one of the city’s most beautiful mid-century mansions. Perched high on a promontory, the home has unobstructed 300-degree city and ocean views. It’s rare to find a home on that large of a lot in the start-studded neighborhood of Bel Air. At over 3 acres acres and 8,500 square feet, it’s perfect for entertaining or an expanding family. The property also has a separate guest house, swimming pool and vineyards.

While public records haven’t yet surfaced confirming the purchase, we’re inclined to believe that Jen Aniston would buy a home as magnificent as this one. She’s an architecture buff (just like ex-hubby Brad Pitt) and was without a trophy Los Angeles property since she sold her immense Beverly Hills crib last year for $38,000,000.
