Three houses total, 2,633 square-foot beachfront compound with a total of 7 bedrooms and 6 baths

      Price

      $17,350,000

Leonardo DiCaprio is now officially “departing” from his seven bedroom, six bathroom Malibu beachfront home.

‘The Wolf of Wall Street’ star just sold the stunning spread for $17.35 million. While it’s nothing to scoff at, the hunky actor got considerably less than the $23 million he initially asked when he first heaved the property on the market in November 2012.

We thought DiCaprio would “never let go” of his Cape Cod inspired home, as he listed it for lease with a $150,000-a-month price tag for the past two summer seasons and then officially re-listed it for sale for $18 million.

DiCaprio purchased his just-sold Malibu manse on October 9, 2002 for $6 million. The unique property is made up of three separate houses sitting on one large, coveted, 2,633 square-foot lot. A four-bedroom main house sits on the stunning Malibu ocean-front, and a two-bedroom detached guest house and third detached loft with gym, media room, seventh bedroom and office area follow behind. Completely renovated from head to toe, DiCaprio’s unique home also included private parking, maid quarters, gardens, lawns and private beach entry – making it one luxurious beachfront compound.

DiCaprio is shunning his West Coast life and  becoming an even larger fixture in New York City, where he just paid millions for a condo in a residential development that combines green and sustainable building practices with wellness and health-centric features for residents.

        Price

        $72,000,000

Celine Dion‘s career is larger than life, and so is her real estate portfolio. The international superstar has just listed the crown jewel of her real estate holdings – a 5.5 acre, 17,000 square foot estate with water park – for $72 million!

In 2005, Dion and her husband/manager René Angélil paid $12,525,000 for the home at 215 S. Beach Road. They proceeded to tear down a perfectly nice 6 bedroom, 6 bathroom, 8,579 square foot home to build this incredible Bahamian-inspired estate, which was completed in 2010.

Located in the exclusive Floridian inlet of Jupiter Island and sitting right on the bank of the Atlantic Ocean, the property is comprised of the main residence and 5 individual pavilions including a double 4 bedroom guest house (for a total of 8 bedrooms); a tennis house with simulated golf range leading to the tennis court; a pool house with built-in grill and separate kitchen; and a cozy beach house with second floor sleeping loft and massage room. There are three separate pools on the property, one at the rear by the ocean, and two connecting pools at the front with an insane water park.

The main residence is an open-concept that takes full advantage of the ocean views. The main level features a formal living room, a large kitchen, family room and dining room, a ground floor bedroom suite with huge walk-in closet, bathroom and screened-in porch, a media room and a separate guest wing.

The second floor features two children’s bedrooms with their own ensuite bathrooms, children’s den and a spectacular master bedroom. The master suite has a wrap-around terrace overlooking the ocean and two separate decks, one with outdoor fireplace, the other with hot tub. As expected in a diva’s home, Dion’s house has a fabulous dressing room with tons of built-ins, a gorgeous ensuite bathroom and every woman’s dream: an enormous walk-in closet with separate fully-automated clothes and shoe racks.

Other  features include a 7,000 square foot fully-finished basement, pool house, staff quarters and elevator.

For $72 million, Dion is offering the home fully furnished.

          Price

          $7,250,000

The king of game show hosts, Howie Mandel, is really looking to make a ‘deal’ with someone who wants one of his biggest prizes yet: a beautiful 5,936-square-foot, ocean-view Malibu estate. The game show host just slashed the price on the estate by half a million dollars, bringing the new asking price to $7,250,000.

Back in December 2011, the former “Deal or No Deal” host originally put the home up for sale and was looking to lock in a deal of his own for the current asking price of $7,250,000. Mandel took the home off the market and relisted in January 2013 for $7,750,000, but now it’s been slashed by that extra $500,000 and is back at the original asking price, just begging for a buyer.

Located in the prestigious Point Dume area, this Cape Cod-inspired mini-compound was exquisitely crafted by renowned architect Douglas Burdge. Unveiled in 2009, the home boasts five bedrooms, five and a half baths, an office, theater, gym, and guesthouse. Constructed with the finest of finishes, the timeless architectural style weds both elegant sophistication and casual seaside living with a seamless indoor/outdoor flow. The airy main living area includes double-height formal living and dining rooms–both with French doors lining the walls–leading to a large, open kitchen with center island.

With panoramic Santa Monica ocean views, the home sits on over an acre of flat land with expansive lawns, a huge outdoor patio, and a gorgeous infinity pool.

Matt Rapf of Pritchett-Rapf is the listing agent Mandel has tapped to get the deal done.

4 bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, 3,763 square feet, beachfront, private pool

            Price

            $10,225,000

Actor, comedian and former Saturday Night Live star David Spade has finally sold his beachfront Malibu home for $10,225,000! Spade thought the joke was on him as he waited for years and years to finally snag a buyer for the 4 bedroom, 3.5 bathroom, 3,763 square foot home.

The former “Just Shoot Me” star bought the place on May 20, 2005 for $9,300,000 and just two years later, in 2007, the beachfront pad first popped onto the market with a $16,000,000 asking price . With no buyer coming a-knocking, Spade de-listed the Malibu home at 21606 Pacific Coast Highway and leased it out, eventually re-listeding it in December 2011 with a more realistic asking price of $13.5 million. It languished on the market for nearly two years until Spade closed a deal on June 13, 2013, selling the place for just $10,225,000 to a C-level executive from Netflix.

The just-sold home sits on a pristine stretch of La Costa Beach and has rare patio privacy and a beautiful pool on the backside of the property. The home has high ceilings, gorgeous wood floors and numerous doors opening to the incredible sandy coastline. Spade sunk some serious dough into the place over the years, giving it a newer bulkhead and foundation and high-end finishing touches.

While he’s no longer a Malibu resident, Spade still owns a $4 million home with a celebrity pedigree in the gated Trousdale Estates area of Beverly Hills. Both Eddie Murphy and Warren Beatty owned the home before Spade bought it on December 7, 2001.

Mascolo purchased the beachfront home on November 1, 2004 for $11,550,000. Nestled in the celebrity enclave of Malibu Colony, the recently remodeled European/contemporary estate has a dramatic courtyard with limestone floors that leads to a 6 bedroom, 4 bathroom, 5,580 square foot residence.deck with outdoor kitchen, pizza oven and spa. The fabulous master suite has a soaking tub overlooking the ocean. Aside from the master, you’ll find 3 other bedrooms on second level. If you venture up to the third floor, you’ll find a huge office, gym and sound proof room that’d be perfect for a theater or sound studio.

Outside, you’ll find more than 1,400 square feet of ocean decks and patios, making this home the perfect beachside escape.

Branden Williams of Hilton & Hyland is the listing agent.

Jim Carrey has said “alriiiighty then!” to an offer on his beachfront Malibu Colony home. Property records and The Real Estalker show that the funnyman sold the crib for $13.4M, which is less than the $13.95M he had originally hoped to bag for the home.

While most celebs are moving INTO Malibu as summer heats up, Carrey is going against the grain and departing the celebrity-infested area of Malibu Colony.

The just-sold home has 5-bedroom, 5.5-bathroom, and 2,866 square-feet and is situated on one of the best sections of sandy beach in coveted Malibu Colony. According to public records, Carrey bought the home on October 18, 2002 for $9.75M, which means he made a pretty penny on the sale.

Let’s dig into the details on his just-ditched home:

Sun-drenched and spacious, the living areas have a seamless flow with an open kitchen, dining, living, and family room all leading to the expansive deck with removable privacy walls. A spectacular upstairs ocean-front master suite features a fireplace, balcony, beautifully appointed master bath and generous walk-in closet.

Three additional bedrooms upstairs are situated to afford each room maximum privacy. A large rooftop viewing deck with spa tub and mood lights is perfect for enjoying the surf, sunset, and mountains.

We can’t say we understand why Carrey wants out of Malibu, but we’ll keep our eyes on his next real estate move.

                  $18,500 a month

Legendary NBA coach Pat Riley is making a play in the real estate game by putting his longtime beachfront Malibu home up for rent for $18,500 a month. Riley and his wife purchased the oceanfront abode on July 14, 1989 for $1,600,000, back when ‘Riles’ was still winning championships with the Showtime Lakers in L.A. Since then, Riley has moved onto more NBA titles in Miami, first as head coach and more recently as Team President of the Heat, which might mean he’s spending less time on the West Coast.

The home is located within an exclusive gated enclave off of Broad Beach Road, and has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms,  plus an office where Riley likely spent many late hours breaking down the Celtics defense or writing plays for the likes of Magic Johnson, while waves crashed a few feet away.

The floor plan includes a large living room with fireplace, open kitchen, and walls of glass for great, natural light. Outside, expansive patios have limitless views of the Pacific Ocean. Riley and his wife won’t be missing the summer in Malibu, though, as the rental isn’t available until September 1, 2013.

Even when they do rent it out, they won’t be going far. They also own the house two doors down, which has 3 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms and 2,088 square feet. They paid $7,000,000 for it in February 2007.
