Actor with roles in Brokeback Mountain, The Day After Tomorrow and many more

3 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, 2,836 square feet on 2 acres, with a pool and views

    Price

    $3,500,000

Going, going, Gone! Jake Gyllenhaal has sold his gated Hollywood Hills house.

Gyllenhaal morphed into an A-list actor during his tenure in Hollywood, and off-screen, he’s been a very popular choice for a semi-temporary boyfriend by many actresses and singers, including Kirsten Dunst, Reese Witherspoon, Taylor Swift, Rachel McAdams and others.

When he’s not stepping out with the hottest young thing in Hollywood, Gyllenhaal holed up in this gated compound on almost two acres of land since 2005, when he paid $2.5 million for the home. Perfect for staying out of the limelight, the home is located down a private drive and has sensational panoramic views. Insiders even say the views from Gyllenhaal’s backyard are some of the best in L.A. The lushly-landscaped, estate-size lot has trails and a large, sprawling grassy yard.

The one-story home itself didn’t have the modern appeal of some of the newer homes on the market, but that didn’t stop a buyer from stepping in and snapping up the property.  What it lacks in modern amenities and of-the-moment trends, it makes up for with charm, space and light throughout.

The home also embraces the sprawling acreage and opens up to a large swimming pool and multiple entertaining areas.

When the home first went up for sale in September 2014, The Real Estalker hinted that Jake may have been renting the place out for the last couple years and living elsewhere. He has recently been spotted house-hunting in New York. With his West Coast property pending and the sale about to be final, Jake’s free to make a home on any coast!

Denny Kagasoff of Berkshire Hathaway Home Services held the listing.

Singing legend Pat Boone has just listed his longtime Beverly Hills mansion for $18,499,000.

Boone was one of the most successful artists of the 1950’s, second only to Elvis Presley, and has had decades of success as a singer, actor, songwriter, author, political activist and more. Despite his active life and many years of success, he stayed rooted in his life in Los Angeles, where he lived in this stately mansion with his family for more than 50 years.

On the market for the first time in approximately 55 years, the home is located on iconic Sunset Boulevard, bordering the “Golden Triangle,” a highly-sought-after area for luxury real estate. On one of the largest lots in Beverly Hills, a sprawling 48,000 square feet, Boone’s estate is being marketed as an ‘ideal development project.’

Essentially a teardown or a major renovation project, Boone’s just-listed estate currently has 6 bedrooms, 7 bathrooms, 7,000 square feet of living space and expansive outdoor areas that include a pool, lawn and gardens.

Gated and hedged for privacy, the property would make an amazing home for a star on their way to a storied career like Boone’s.

The estate is listed with Seth Perry of Nourmand & Associates.

Inside, Marsden’s new digs has wide spans of open living space and walls of glass that merge the indoors and out. When he needs privacy, James can retreat to a large master suite with a massive walk-in closet. Just down the hall, there’s two more large bedrooms. The fourth bedroom is a great versatile space, and would make either a great office or and additional guest suite.

          $1,488,000

Gorgeous, globe-trotting couple Joshua Jackson and Diane Kruger, have just sold their Los Angeles pied-a-terre for over asking!

In a deal that closed on September 30, 2014, Jackson and Kruger banked $1,488,000 for the 3 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom home they were asking $1,450,000 for.

Purchased in 2009 for 1,315,000, the barely-used mini-compound was the West Coast home base for the long-term duo, who split time between New York, Paris…and wherever else their glamorous careers take them.

It’s no shock that Kruger, who is a fashion industry darling and a frequent face on “best dressed” lists, owned a home described as “chic.”

Located on a prime street in the Hollywood Hills, the just-sold property is walled and gated for the utmost privacy. In the main house, an open floor plan showcases a living room with a brick fireplace, elegant formal dining room with built-in shelving, and a den/media room. Calming white walls, dark oak floors and large windows punctuate these spaces.

The gourmet kitchen features a La Canche range, butcher block center-island, exposed wood shelving and a farmhouse sink that overlooks the garden.

The European inspired master suite has newly-refinished poured concrete floors, a fireplace and a walk-in closet. The adjacent master bath has an extra-large shower with wishbone marble floors. French doors lead to the large terrace, with views of Hollywood. The second bedroom has a door to the terrace and an adjacent remodeled bathroom.

Downstairs, the home has coveted guest quarters that contain its own kitchen, bedroom, bathroom and living area. A true guest oasis, it can be accessed through the main house or a separate entrance.

Adam Sires of Nourmand & Associates represented Josh and Diane in the sale, and his colleague Sherri Rogers, also of Nourmand & Associates, represented the buyer.

                Price

                $2,375,000

                Celebrity Switcheroo!

Vince Vaughn has just been identified as the buyer of Kate Bosworth’s open and airy Los Angeles hideaway. First revealed by the Real Estalker, property records show that Vaughn is indeed the buyer of Bosworth’s hills spread.

Vince and his wife splashed out $2,375,000 for the 3 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom, 2,890 Nichols Canyon home, which is a  little less than what Kate was hoping to get for it (original asking price was $2,499,000), but the blonde beauty has by no means sold at a loss to Vince. The ‘Blue Crush’ actress paid $2,100,000 when she purchased the 3 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom place in 2005.

Vaughn’s new private pad is set behind a discreet gate that leads you down a long drive to this contemporary home on over half an acre.

The floor plan is open and flowing, with the dining and living areas seamlessly connected. In the heart of the home, a chef’s kitchen features professional appliances and huge windows that overlook the patio and views beyond.

The home’s 3 bedrooms and 2.5 baths include the upstairs master retreat with sitting area, two walk-in closets, spa-like bath with double Carrara marble vanity and a jetted tub.

French doors leads to multiple outdoor areas, including a lap pool and an outdoor living room with incredible light and canyon views.

Why would Vaughn buy from Bosworth, when he just snapped up two other properties in the last year? To add to his collection, of course! He currently owns a 12,000 square-foot penthouse in the historic Palmolive Building and another smaller apartment in the River North neighborhood of his hometown of Chicago, as well as two Los Angeles-area properties. The first is a $3,925,000 property in La Canada Flintridge, and the second is a Manhattan Beach mansion he bought for $6,447,000 from former USC football coach, Lane Kiffin.

‘American Pie’ and ‘Orange is the New Black’ actor Jason Biggs has just listed his Mid-Century Modern home in the Hollywood Hills for $2,995,000.

In a prime Sunset Strip location, the swank home has a semi-private drive and is walled and gated for the utmost privacy. The hillside locale highlights city-to-ocean views within this 2,756 square foot home, which Biggs purchased from Wonder Years actor Fred Savage in 2007 for $2,249,000.

The main level provides generous open-concept living room, vaulted ceilings and abundant light with a great room, dining room and kitchen areas all opening up to both the view and the pool/terrace.

The first floor is completed by a spacious office or den, a massive en-suite guest room and courtyard-access, a secured garage and a large dog run.

Elsewhere inside, Biggs’ Master suite has the same explosive views, a luxe en-suite bath, and a sensational media/screening room with its own bath and state-of-the-art entertainment system.

The reason for the move? Perhaps Jason and his wife, Jenny Mollen, are looking for a place that’s a bit more family-friendly. Married since 2008, the duo welcomed their first child, a boy named Sid, in February 2014.

Peter Maurice of Rodeo Realty holds the listing.

Hat tip to the Los Angeles Times, who first reported on the listing.

                      $16,500,000

In a housing market that’s going up, up, up, actor Bruce Willis had a hard time selling his Beverly Hills mansion. Originally listed for $22 million in May 2013, Willis was forced to chop $2 million off the asking price of his sprawling, gated Beverly Hills hacienda in August 2013. With a $19,995,000 price tag, the gorgeous home continued to languish on the market.

                      Until now.

Property records show that Willis finally found a buyer at a much lower price. He sold the spread for $16.5 million on August 15, 2014.

After so many years on the market, Willis must be thrilled that the deal is done, and he and wife Emma Hemming can fully enjoy East Coast life in their chic condo in New York City.

Despite the lower sale price, Willis still made a profit over the $9 million he paid for the estate way back in June 2004, when he bought the pad from movie industry titan Alan Ladd Jr.

The 1928 Spanish-style residence sits on about an acre acre of flat land in a prime section of lower Beverly Hillsand has 11 bedrooms and 11 bathrooms spread out over 10,379 square feet of interior space that also includes a state-of-the-art screening room, his & hers bathrooms and two staff rooms. Outside, a large pool, tennis courts and the surrounding areas are an entertainer’s paradise.

Branden Williams of Hilton & Hyland represented both Willis and the buyer in the deal.
