Leslie and Julie are upgrading their lives in Malibu, trading a 3 bedroom, 4 bathroom, 3,014 square foot home on La Costa Beach for their new Carbon Beach digs. Their former Malibu estate is on the market with a $12,995,000 price tag.

Creedence Clearwater Revival rocker John Fogerty just sold his massive Beverly Hills estate for $18.6 million!

The home popped up as an off-market ‘pocket listing’ with a $23 million price tag in July 2013.

Nearly 9 months later, a buyer swooped in and made an offer significantly under asking, and the deal closed on March 21, 2014. While Fogerty didn’t exactly sell it for a song, it was $4.4 less than what he’d hope to sell it for.

Purchased by the “Proud Mary” rocker on November 20, 2002 for $2,900,000, the home at 2553 Summitridge Dr. had 5 bedrooms, 7 bathrooms and 13,476 square feet at the time he bought it. 10 years later, the home has undergone some extensive renovations that added an additional 5 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms and 2,500 square feet to the residence.

Now, the home sits on 3 meticulously landscaped acres and features a gated entrance and circular motor court with fountain leading to the garage motor court. Inside,  16,000 square feet of living space includes 9 bedrooms, 11 bathrooms, a 2-story foyer with fireplace, double-barrel vaulted main hallway, formal living room with fireplace, formal dining room with wine room, gourmet kitchen, 2-story family room with fireplace, wood paneled library with fireplace, home theater, 2nd floor lounge with wet bar, 4+ car garage and more.

Outside, the property has an incredible entertainer’s yard with a covered loggia with fireplace, mosaic-tiled swimming pool with spa, expansive patio, children’s playground and outdoor dining and cooking areas. There is also a separate guest house with 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, living room and kitchen.

Fogerty has since moved on to a 7 bedroom, 13,053 square foot estate in Thousand Oaks, CA that he purchased for $9 million in May 2013.

Sheryl Crow Relists Los Angeles Compound, Chops $4 Million Off Ask

          Price

          $11,950,000

Songstress Sheryl Crow is singing a sad little tune after chopping $4 million off the asking price of her prized compound in Los Angeles.

After listing for the first time in 2012 and trying to (unsuccessfully) sell her Hollywood Hills home for $15,950,000, Crow’s compound was delisted in December 2013 and just came back on the market with a more down-to-earth ask of $11,950,000.

Set behind private gates, Crow’s Spanish-style compound sits atop a hill and is comprised of 3 houses that total more than 10,000 square feet on 10+ acres.  She purchased each home individually in and around 1998, and meticulously combined the properties over the next few years.

The main home is a remodeled and restored ‘Spanish Revival’ with 4 bedrooms, 3.5 baths, a 2-story entryway, chef’s kitchen, library, wine cellar and music room.

A second home is a Craftsman built in 1909, and has 4 bedrooms, 3 baths and views of the vistas of Hollywood.

The third home on the 10 acre property is a cottage that dates back to 1885, complete with a oak-floored kitchen, 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.

The entire compound is tied together with canyon pathways, trails, a tee pee, campsite, playground, palapas and a resort-style infinity pool.

A true treasure in the heart of Hollywood.

Crow’s had a hard time in the real estate game in recent years. This home has sat on the market for months and months, and her equestrian property in College Grove, TN has also had a hard time finding a buyer, even after more than 2 years and nearly $2 million in price reductions.

The rest of her portfolio includes two off-market properties. One is a $3.6M estate in Nashville, Tennessee and the other is a beachfront escape in Florida.

The listing agent for her Los Angeles estate is Myra Nourmand of Nourmand & Associates.

Actress Melissa Joan Hart is proving that stars are “just like us” – they want a short commute!

The  actress just spent $949,000 on a 3-bedroom, 3-bathroom home across the street from where she films her TV show ”Melissa & Joey.” Instead of battling Los Angeles‘ notoriously brutal traffic, the actress just needs to step out her front door and cross the street to get to work.

            Location, location, location!

While the home is not typical celebrity digs (aka a giant, glamorous mansion), Hart’s new home has space inside and out, remodeled bathrooms, a large den, high ceilings, a large front yard, a cozy rear patio and seclusion from the street.

The married mother of three boys also owns two additional homes, one near Lake Tahoe, and the other in Westport, Connecticut. In the past, she’s owned massive estates around Los Angeles.

For this sale, Sigifredo Verano of Re/Max Town Center represented the seller, and Matt Epstein of Berkshire Hathaway HomeService represented Melissa Joan Hart.

Celine Dion has just price-chopped the crown jewel of her real estate holdings – a 5.5 acre, 17,000 square foot Florida estate with water park – by $10 million!

Originally listed in August 2013 for $72.5 million, Dion just dropped the sky-high price by 8 figures to lure a potential buyer. Now listed for $62.5 million, the Vegas-based Dion is hoping for a quick sale.

In 2005, Dion and her husband/manager René Angélil paid $12,525,000 for the home at 215 S. Beach Road. They proceeded to tear down a perfectly nice 6 bedroom, 6 bathroom, 8,579 square foot home to build this incredible Bahamian-inspired estate, which was completed in 2010.

Located in the exclusive Floridian inlet of Jupiter Island, and sitting right on the bank of the Atlantic Ocean, the property is comprised of the main residence and 5 individual pavilions including a double 4 bedroom guest house (for a total of 8 bedrooms); a tennis house with simulated golf range leading to the tennis court; a pool house with built-in grill and separate kitchen; and a cozy beach house with second floor sleeping loft and massage room. There are three separate pools on the property, one at the rear by the ocean, and two connecting pools at the front with an insane water park.

The main residence is an open-concept that takes full advantage of the ocean views. The main level features a formal living room, a large kitchen, family room and dining room, a ground floor bedroom suite with huge walk-in closet, bathroom and screened-in porch, a media room and a separate guest wing.

The second floor features two children’s bedrooms with their own ensuite bathrooms, children’s den and a spectacular master bedroom. The master suite has a wrap-around terrace overlooking the ocean and two separate decks, one with outdoor fireplace, the other with hot tub. As expected in a diva’s home, Dion’s house has a fabulous dressing room with tons of built-ins, a gorgeous ensuite bathroom and every woman’s dream: an enormous walk-in closet with separate fully-automated clothes and shoe racks.

Other  features include a 7,000 square foot fully-finished basement, pool house, staff quarters and elevator.

For $72 million, $62.5 million, Dion is offering the home fully furnished.

Actor Cuba Gooding Jr. is finalizing the sale of his longtime Pacific Palisades estate, which was listed for $9,995,000. Sources close to the deal say the buyer is paying close to asking for the 6 bedroom, 7 bathroom, 6,753 square foot estate that Gooding bought for $3.5 million in May 2000.

Nestled in the heart of Pacific Palisades, Cuba’s almost-sold Contemporary English estate is set  amidst mature trees on almost an acre of lush, park-like grounds, with complete privacy and seclusion.

Close to the Village and beach, Cuba’s estate has an open floor plan that includes a formal living room with wrap-around windows, and a dining room with wine cellar and butler’s pantry. A cook’s kitchen and family room combo has an adjacent mudroom/office. Other amenities include a state-of-the-art theatre, detached guest suite, 6+ car garage/gym and 2 laundry rooms.

Outside, resort-like grounds include a private drive, expansive lawn, lighted hockey rink and pool/spa.

Mega-producer Michael Bay just sold his blockbuster Los Angeles home for $11.45 million.

The 4 bedroom, 6 bathroom home has nearly 8,000 square feet of living space, and is primely located in the celebrity enclave between Bel Air and the Holmby Hills in Los Angeles.

Bay sold this estate because he recently completed construction on a brand new home that has been in the works since he purchased it in October 2009 for $10.9 million. To much outrage, he tore down an architecturally significant home to build an even bigger and more contemporary estate.

The new home is designed by Oppenheim Architecture + Design, and according to the architects’ description of the project, Bay’s new mansion is nestled into a hillside, spans 30,000 square feet and features a large theater, movie prop museum, parking, spa and two master bedroom modules hovering above the main living quarters.

                    Quite the project!

While Bay transitioned into his new home, he was also working on selling his former home, which he purchased in 1999 for $5.16 million and originally listed in December 2013 for $13.5 million.

The striking contemporary estate is off a long gated drive in prime Bel Air on a promontory w/ unobstructed views of the entire Los Angeles basin. Designed by the late architect Jack Warner, this extremely private home features clean, crisp lines, grand scale museum-like spaces, soaring ceilings, ideal indoor/outdoor flow and dramatic views from every room. A spacious central living room has a huge fireplace, a large formal dining room, and separate library/den that opens to a lush, private garden, pool & spa.

Other amenities include a state-of-the-art theatre (naturally), wine cellar, and gorgeous wood & stone floors.

One of the world’s most incredible ‘mega-mansions’ just had a mega sale!

The world famous ‘Fleur De Lys’ mansion in the Beverly Hills enclave of Holmby Hills just sold to ‘junk bond king’ Michael Milken for $102 million IN CASH, as first reported by Lauren Beale at the Los Angeles Times.

Fleur De Lys was sold by socialite Suzanne Saperstein, who custom-built the mansion in 2002 with her then-husband, Metro Networks founder and billionaire David Saperstein. They divorced just three years after the home was completed and she received the property as part of her divorce settlement. She first listed property in 2007 for $125 million and never once wavered on the asking price.

The estate is 50,000 square feet of living space, which includes innumerable rooms, a 3,000 square foot wine cellar, a grand ballroom, a marble-floored two-story entry hall, gold paneled ceilings and much more grandeur.

Outside, two motor courts, a 600-foot tree-lined driveway, a pool, spa and sprawling lawns are just mere highlights of the 4.6 acre estate.

As the LA Times reported, Michael Milken bought the home through an LLC tied to the Milken Institute in Santa Monica, a nonpartisan think tank chaired by the businessman and philanthropist.

Los Angeles-based super agent Kurt Rappaport of the Westside Estate Agency represented Saperstein in the sale and Fred Bernstein, also of the Westside Estate Agency, represented the Milken, who reportedly beat out billionaires from England and China in a bidding war for the pricey estate.
