2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 1,911 square feet
Purchased in 2008 for $1.66 million, Strahan tried to give the space the heave-ho in 2010, putting it back on the market for $1.85 million.
According to his listing agent Frances Katzen of Douglas Elliman and Curbed NY, Strahan had used the 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom, 1,911 square-foot loft as a pied-a-terre and had plans to renovate but never quite got around to it. Instead, he leased the apartment out to a tenant when it failed to sell in 2010.
In a stronger market, Strahan is giving a potential sale another go, putting the place back on the market for $2.25 million.
Sans interior renovations, nothing seems to have changed inside the place except the decor. See what it looked like last time it was listed by checking out the former listing photos here.
Earlier this summer, Strahan made a $3 million profit on a “teardown” home in Bel Air that he flipped a year after purchasing it. He intended to make renovations and turn it into his West Coast dream home, but changed his mind and sold it for a major profit.

NBA Hall of Famer
4 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms, 4,007 square feet, pool
Brand new to the market, Bird’s agent confirmed to The News-Press that Bird and his wife, Dinah, want $4.8 million for their custom-built home in the Naples’ Park Shore subdivision.
The Birds have been longtime Naples residents. The News-Press reports that they first bought a home in the Park Shore neighborhood in 1993 and then sold that house and bought the current home on the 300 block of Neapolitan Way for $875,000 in 1998. Bird and his wife then tore down the house and built the current home in 2001.
Bird’s agent also told The News-Press that Bird is selling the home because he doesn’t have time to spend in Naples now that he’s retaken his job as president of basketball operations for the NBA’s Indiana Pacers after a yearlong health-related sabbatical.
The Bird’s custom waterfront residence captures spectacular expansive views overlooking Venetian Bay. It boasts nearly 6,000 square feet of living space and features custom details throughout. Interior highlights include a gourmet kitchen and four full bedrooms, a saltwater aquarium behind a full service bar and state-of-the-art home theater. Outside, a tiki hut with thatched roof hovers over a summer kitchen and an adjacent infinity-edge pool sits near the sparkling bay.
NFL QB with a lackluster career; Recently traded from Seattle to Oakland
4 bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, 5,800 square feet
Oakland Raider’s backup QB Matt Flynn may not be starting on the field, but he’s making moves off the field.
After being traded to the Oakland Raiders from the Seattle Seahawks after losing the starting position to Russell Wilson, Flynn put his “lodge-style retreat” in Issaquah, WA on the market and made the move to the San Francisco Bay Area to suit up for Oakland.
While Flynn may be sweating his future in the NFL after losing the starting QB job with the Raiders to Terrelle Pryor due to tendonitis in his elbow, he’s not worried about carrying a mortgage on his former home near Seattle.
Flynn and his new wife Lacey Michew plunked down $1,225,000 for the home in May 2012, and even gushed about the home on their wedding website, but their life in the Seattle area would be short. The trade to Oakland left the couple with no choice but to put their home of barely a year back on the market, this time with a $1,448,000 price tag. The home sat on the market for months before it got a $49,000 price chop and finally found a buyer!
A new buyer now has Flynn’s awe inspiring views of the Issaquah valley and mountains from the 4 bedroom, 3.5 bathroom, 5,800 square foot lodge-style home. The home’s features include a spacious gourmet kitchen with Viking appliances and a walk-in pantry, a spa-inspired master retreat, 5 car garage with shop, wine room and laundry rooms on each floor.
Keeping it in the Seattle Seahawks family, Nathanael Hasselbeck of NWG Real Estate was the listing agent.

Lakers basketball star and his on-and-off-again wife
Lakers star Kobe Bryant and his wife Vanessa are unloading a gated So Cal mansion for $8,599,000. Property records we peeped show that it’s Vanessa Bryant who’s the actual seller. As TMZ and others reported last year, Kobe deeded the property – and 2 others – over to her in January 2012 amid divorce proceedings that never came to be – the duo are still legally married. Together, they purchased the home in 2001.
Set behind massive private gates in a prestigious guard gated community, the Bryant’s home is recently expanded, reconstructed and highly upgraded. Boasting unobstructed ocean and city light views, the home is set at the end of a cul-de-sac, with complete privacy.
The two-story home spans 8,500 square feet and alongside 4 bedrooms and 5.5 bathrooms, the home also features a hair salon, a theater with lobby and bar, a large gym, and a library with a shark tank.
The resort-like exteriors feature a custom pool and spa, lush manicured lawns, fire pit and an outdoor kitchen/ BBQ center.
Jordan Cohen of Re/Max Olson & Associates,Inc. is the listing agent.
Former NFL star wide receiver and current ESPN analyst
6 bedrooms, 9 bathrooms, 11,746 square feet, pool, pop star neighbor
Former NFL star wide receiver and current ESPN analyst Keyshawn Johnson is selling his sprawling Calabasas, CA estate for $8,495,000 - and he’s getting aggressive with the price chops to get away from his neighbor – none other than pop megastar Justin Bieber.
Keyshawn definitely isn’t a “Bielber” and actually has a much-publicized feud with Justin, who peeds uncontrollably in his white Ferrari through their residential neighborhood while young children play in the streets.
Johnson is sick and tired of living near Bieber, so he’s chopping the price of the home to move the sale along. Originally listed and then delisted in 2011, Johnson’s home popped back onto the market for December 2012 for $10.5 million. As Johnson’s issues with Bieber started to escalate, the asking price on his home started to drop. By February 2013, he’d chopped another $1.6 million off asking, but still couldn’t find a buyer. With his unruly neighbor continuing to cause him grief, Johnson decided to reduce the price yet again – slicing $400k off – bringing the home to its current asking price of $8.495 million.
Unruly pop star neighbor aside, Johnson’s house is a custom gem in the celebrity-infested Los Angeles suburb of Calabasas. Nestled inside the gated “Estates at the Oaks” community, Johnson’s for-sale home sits on a huge 1.86 acre lot that boasts views and privacy. Inside, 6 bedrooms and 9 bathrooms are also joined by a chef’s kitchen, game room, spa, sauna, elevator and theater.
The grounds of the estate include covered patios with an outdoor fireplace, sunken basketball/sports court, a pool with spa and expansive rolling lawns.
Don’t mind living near the Biebs? Go ahead and put Johnson out of his misery and make an offer!
Marc and Rory Shevin of Prudential hold the listing.
NASCAR crew chief for #20 The Home Depot car
6 bedrooms, 9 bathrooms, 13,000 square feet, lakefront, private dock
Zapadelli made a major name (and fortune) for himself as the longtime crew chief for the #20 Home Depot car for Joe Gibbs Racing drivers Tony Stewart and Joey Logano from 1999 to 2011. He won 34 races and two championships in 2002 and 2005 as a crew chief.
Now, Zapadelli is looking for a buyer to speed on over and make an offer on the lakefront estate located near the Greg Norman-designed Trump National Golf Course that he scooped up in May 2007 for $1,175,000.
The Tudor-style home has over 13,000 square feet of living space and stunning views of Lake Norman. The 6-bedroom, 9-bathroom gated residence features an “open flow” floor plan. Highlights of the incredible estate include an expansive eat-in, double-island gourmet kitchen, a master bedroom with a two-story closet, a gym and a large master bathroom with built-in microwave, dishwasher and fridge.
Outside, you’ll find views of the lake and a private dock. Aside from the lake, there’s also a pool with a hot tub, as well as an outdoor kitchen, bathroom and fireplace, making this a perfect venue for hosting guests. If that wasn’t enough, the basement is furnished with a full kitchen, wine cellar and theater.

$10,000 a month

Inside, a stunning gourmet eat-in kitchen has Carrara marble counters, top-of-the-line appliances and an adjoining room to relax in front of a blazing fireplace. MLB pitcher who famously signed a $126M contract; two-time World Series champion with the San Francisco Giants
4 bedrooms, 5.5 bathrooms, brand new guesthouse, pool
San Francisco Giant Barry Zito may be a champion on the baseball field, but he’s struggling in real estate game. The San Francisco Giants pitcher, who famously signed a $126 million-dollar contract, can’t find a buyer for his stunning Kentfield, CA Mediterranean mansion and just price chopped the estate by another $720,000. Originally listed for $11,495,000 in October 2012, the home was price chopped by a million in March 2013 and just took another “hit.”
When the home first hit the market in June of 2012, Zito’s publicist Kathy Jacobson told the Huffington Post that the motive for the move was a shorter commute. “Barry loves Marin and the house; he was married there…but with the drive over the bridge all the way across town to the ballpark, it was just too much, especially with a new marriage.”
No telling where the star pitcher and his new wife, beauty queen Amber Seyer will head next, but we do know that they’re leaving behind a champion-worthy estate. Called “Villa Della Pace,” Zito’s for-sale home is sited on over 2 acres of hillside directly overlooking Pho
Situated on a private lot with two iron gates, this estate features 4 bedrooms, 5.5 bathrooms and an enormous kitchen/family room. The large master suite is on the home’s main level and has a master bath with beautiful granite countertops and an extra-large custom stone shower, double sinks, and walk-in closet. The main level also comes with an office – the perfect place for Zito to consider all the ways to spend that nine-figure paycheck.
The gorgeous home features a new guest house and both the main home and the guest house enjoy panoramic views of coastal hills and parks. The property is surrounded by stone terraces, lawns and gardens as well as an outdoor fireplace, barbeque, fountain, spa, and spectacular swimming pool.
