"Many crabby people put up fake fertilizer signs to keep dogs off the curb. Many bad dog owners let their dogs bark at the squares."

"Its an easy walk around our neighborhood. The dog enjoys meeting the neighbors and so do we! Not much grass around the courtyard villas! "

"This is a 55+ community. Children under 19 are not allowed to live here permanently. However, The Villages Charter schools are the best in the country."

"More public transit is really needed. You can only get around by golf cart in the older section of The Villages. The new section is not golf cart accessible."

"This article pertains to men age 65 Best Retirement Community in America! There’s almost no crime, no graffiti, no trash, no falling apart roads, no run down properties, and yes there are children 22% of the population is allowed to be under the age of 25 & more if needed to take care of a parent, etc (after all it is a Retirement Community). The biggest activity is Bowling (no it’s not Swinging), there are 60 Golf Courses (free to play), largest Golf Cart Community in the the world with over 65,000 Golf Carts, 104 pools (1/3 are for kids), over 3600 Clubs (all activities are free some may include a small fee for supplies or personal instruction), 3 Town Squares with free Entertainment & Dancing nightly 5 till 9 with some of the best bands in the industry. Plantings changed quarterly and every inch of the landscape manicured to perfection. That’s what people come to the Villages for from around the world (most are actually from Florida that live here year round) and what makes it the fastest growing city in America. "

"No public transportation is available here; sorely lacking. Can use your own car or golf cart. Public Transportation would be a big advantage here."

"55+ neighborhood. Kids can visit for a month with a break in between. I am younger and visiting my uncle and aunt. The main type of transportation is golf cart. The Villages is a VERY clean community and the curbs never have leaves or trash etc. There are 2 types of pool/rec areas. One has a mail area beside the pool and that is 55+ ONLY. The others (a hint if you are confused if it is 55+ or not is if there are mail boxes it is 55+) have public pool, tennis and pickleball courts, billiards, and shuffleboard. A pass is required to get in the rec building. If you are golfing you will need to take a sand filler container with you to fill in your holes etc on the course Kids should be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times in the villages and should stay quiet especially during later hours (after 6 pm)."
