"My wife grew up here and we moved back and have lived here for 3 years. The schools are outstanding and the town holds on to its cultural and creative roots . Although Westport is affluent it never takes away from the family centric charm and low key atmosphere. "

"There is a dog park and it is well maintained. Dogs are allowed in the two beaches seasonally May-October. The only downside is there are not enough sidewalks. "

"Great schools! Compo Beach and Longshore are great for families. Golf too! Longshore sailing school is a great way for everyone to learn to sail. There’s an ice skating rink in the winter at Longshore. Lots of good restaurants for families and couples. "

"It’s a longer ride to NYC these days with the older tracks.. and the highways are often stop and go.. but many people like the trade off of larger properties farther from the city for same money and lower property taxes than Westchester Cty."
