"Dogs welcome in town. Store owners put water out and offer pet treats. 98% of owners pick up their dogs waste. I have never experienced an aggressive dog in town. I have not seen any aggressive breeds. Most importantly all dogs on on leashes!"

"Great schools, community, etc. Main Street is safe for kids to walk with group of friends. Fun programs at library and throughout the summer. "

"It is close to New York compared to the other hamptons. It is more affordable. There are multiple train lines that are somewhat close (Montauk, Speonk, Riverhead)"

"Access to railroad, cabs & Uber rides available. summer traffic isn’t terrible unless you ride east of Hampton Bays."

"This is a second home / weekend house. As a result we only commute here regularly on Friday and Sundays. Traffic is pretty bad similar to other Long Island beach towns. "

"Westhampton & Westhampton Beach are in high demand for their white sandy beaches, quaint but fabulous village, and beautiful country homes by the sea. Of the dozen or so primary Hampton towns and villages, Westhampton is closest in proximity to NYC./ Metro area by nearly hours drive time from Montauk/East Hampton. It is one of the most in demand locations for NY Metro area families seeking a second or vacation home."

"Westhampton is the first Hampton you reach and it is a wonderful little town with a nice downtown that you can stroll thru, boutiques and restaurants and bars to enjoy and the spectacular Atlantic ocean beaches only a few minutes away. Plenty to see and do in the surrounding towns from this great jump-off spot."
