"The hills all around town make for pretty views of the Palouse, but Moscow winds can be ferocious in the early spring."

"There’s a great dog park, unfortunately there’s no area for small dogs. Most people have big dogs. You need to be careful if you have a small dog, don’t let them outside alone because hawks and owls are in the neighborhood. "

"People are seen walking their dogs on a daily basis in our neighborhood. I do not see dogs running loose. People take care of their dogs and it is a dog-friendly area."

"My brother moved here for college in early '70's, married local girl, raised 3 kids. I have visited many times. Lovely town, positive healthy vibe at all levels; kids, sports, education, environment is clean, fresh and open. Low to moderate cost of living. Weather not too hot in summer, winters not too cold or snowy. If you like outdoors its great; biking, motorcycles, horses, dogs, hunting, fishing, kayaking, etc. Univ of Idaho and Univ of Washington (Pulman, WA 20 minutes west) provide excellent education for college kids and mid-career professionals.
