"Depends on the time of year and time of day. Winter and holidays traffic is terrible. Getting off the island and onto the mainland / Bradenton can take almost an hour"

"It’s sad that dogs are not allowed to walk on the beach on a lease- I understand when owners don’t clean up after them but we’ve considered not coming back to Ami over it!"

"It’s on an island in the Gulf of Mexico. There is a minimum height requirement for buildings. It still has an old Florida feeling to it"

"Our little 7 mile Island has 3 towns, City of Anna mAria, Holmes Beach and Bradenton Beach. As long as you get "On island time" when you're here you'll LOVE it. Go to the beach, take the trolley to go shopping or to eat, don't drive around!!"

"I have lived on the island in the past & know it well. This is a great location, walk to restaurants, shops, library. No bridges and a short boat ride down the canal to the bay and the Gulf of Mexico. "

"Family has lived here since the mid-60's. The island still has the old-town Fl feel...no huge commercial growth! Restaurants, entertainment and shopping within walking distance. The people are friendly and pleasant. Public trolley available to get around the island. Sunset views simply cannot be beat!!!"

"I have lived here at Island Village on Holmes beach since 1992...it's a beautiful community directly across the street from the public beach with white sandy beaches, blue assure waters...colorful sky scapes"

"Palm Harbor Subdivision is just a five minute walk from EVERYTHING. There is a Publix grocery store, CVS and Walgreens, great coffee, salons and even church, but most importantly, THE BEACH. It is a great communting area because you can get to I75 in 20 minutes. "

"I lived on this street years ago. The view is now blocked by the next streets put in behind it blocking water views. The golf course is there so the homes get hit constantly with golf balls. Believe me, I lived there for 4 years! Windows were broken Dings into the side, front and front door etc. I would go deeper in for better views or to the very end of the streets. Schools are not good, I don't recommend the area for families with young children. Just my opinion but my children went to private schools. Pricey home without a pool. I can't believe there's no pool."
