"The town goes all out for Christmas. Most residents decorate the outside of the houses, they put up banners and lights on the street lights, it is a very cozy small town feel for the holidays. "

"The commute is not bad at all. Easy commute...Short 10 minute drive to downtown Louisville. Traffic is minimal if you plan ahead leave early to avoid rush hour. "

"Close to a large city but with a small city and rural feel. Large houses on large lots. The politics of our neighbors are horrendous but we can relate in other ways"

"I moved here almost nine monthes in the program Providence house. It is a reunifcation, self-suffient program. All i can walk to close to my house is dollar general and the other way i walk about a miles to the marathon. I love that Georgetown is they have a wonderful program and a drive in movie theater. "

"Quiet, scenic, almost country-ish., but just north of N.D. Campus, plus 3 more colleges. Tawny Lake is a hideaway that's unknown, even to most local people. "

"We have several restaurants/stores/gas stations with one light before town. A sense of community is great and the people are very nice everywhere you go. Only 10 minutes from Downtown Louisville, KY and everything you need/want but still living in a rural setting!"

"Tawny Lake is just north of Notre Dame, but in a quiet, woodsy location; in fact, many people have no idea it's here..with it's fishing , boating, swimming...but it's near colleges, restaurants, shopping malls, including University Park Mall and all it's satellite malls. It's quiet, scenic..everything you could want!"
