"I’ve lived here my whole life, 38 years. It used to be homey and safe but things have gone downhill in the last 10 years or so. Cars are stolen and homes are burglarized often in the surrounding area. Packages are stolen daily on my street. Police do little to stop it. "

"There many programs for the youth in Elmont to attend. Excellent school district. Nice parks and play areas. Walking distance to many of the school. Safe neighborhoods. Both of my children’s grew up and graduated from the Elmont School District. "

"I hope the dog is trained otherwise people can be a little nervous walking past you and you pooch. But there’s plenty of space to take them for a walk. Let them run free in the yard too and no one will mind. "

"It's a beautiful, quiet neighborhood close to shops, restaurants and good schools. I have lived here my entire life and have never felt unsafe as a young adult living alone. There's tons of privacy and the neighborhood is quiet especially in the evenings which I appreciate."

"I lived here in Elmont for nine years never like it at first ,however my children started from preschool until up to high school so I started to like Elmont and I met. alots of good people here I work in Elmont and very convincing the Elmont libraries and Sewanhaka High School is good and buses ,and parks, events alots of activities and streets parades marching in Elmont "

"Nope not at all not even decoration in holidays, holidays here are suck I don’t like my neighborhood too much drugs around here and no parking the parking is always a problem ."
