"The area is very safe and most people are nice. There are many outdoor activities for the family. You have parks and beaches and other activities not as many as the big cities but enough to keep the kids entertained. The schools are ok, but there needs to be more improvement in that aspect."

"We have lived in beautiful Citrus County for 18 years and brought up our children here...It's mostly quiet, low traffic, great restaurants and all activities you can think of on the water...great place to live; love it here!"

"It had a golf course till it closed. Lots are 2/3 acre. We are not on top of our neighbors. Everyone keeps up their yards"

"I have lived in Citrus County all my life. My children were born in Crystal River. I love this town, and the people. I feel safe and at home here. Wouldn't live anywhere else."

"I lived on Lake rousseau For 5 years. Quite and peaceful and lots of birds. Look for waterfront homes you will love it"

"I like how the stores in town are 5 to 8 minutes away when you drive, it's a nice walk as well, traffic is a little bad but that depends on the time of day you decide to go out"

"Gated but not 55 or above. Great neighborhood width a good mix of old and young. Low HOA FEES. Community Pool/Clubhouse you can join for pocket change."
