"Very dog friendly. Many people have dogs and they’re all pretty well behaved. There’s really no particularly good place for them to play though, no dog parks. But there is a really large park where there are often a couple of dogs out."

"Riverside is my favorite part of Corning. It’s the most quiet and family friendly in my opinion. Lots of historic places to explore, several family friendly museums."

"Riverside is pretty nice but some areas have obvious drug issues. Even still it has been a very safe place to raise children. "

"I have lived here for over 10 years and love this area it's quiet and there are a lot of nice people!! you don't have to go far for entertainment and fun. There are parks and schools close to home."

"corning s year round free activities for the community and tourists. with multiple museums, an amazing library and more, it's a great place for families. there is great public transportation and is handicapped accessible. we've lived here 5 years and love it. "

"Safe neighborhood and sometimes quiet both day and night. The rent fee is not too expensive. Parents can feel safe having their kids around the neighborhood to play.."

"I love walking everywhere, and the deep quiet (on a dead-end street), and so close to Market Street and Wegman's. I also work in the school system as a sub, so I can walk to practically every single school. Neighbors are great too."

"Beautiful area, especially between May and October. Little to no traffic and relatively low cost of living. Downtown area (Market Street) is very nice and the Corning Southside Hill has many beautifully restored vintage homes. Downsides are long winters and limted restaurants, shopping, and nightlife. "
