"Bloomfield is great. I moved here 5 years ago and love it. Safe, convenient, friendly, diverse, “up and coming”, lots of local highlights include block parties, festivals and environmental lovely things like butterfly habitats and sweet parks. NJ Transit could be better tho...but, we love it here!"

"I lived in this neighborhood for 6 years. I enjoyed it but I wish with the high taxes we pay we could have underground electrical wires. Also the schools are not rated high at all. "

"Bloomfield township schools are by far the best I’ve ever known compared to others. The teachers are always proactive, caring. In this community you become part of a family rather then just being neighbors. "

"I drive everywhere so I don't use public transportation. But during my commute to work where I live is close to major highways and routes. But there are some streets that have major potholes which makes my commute bumpy and risky for my tires. "

"I've lived here for over 13 years. It is still a great place to live in. Brookdale which is what this region is called is still the best place to live in Bloomfield. With all of the gorgeous upscale apt buildings and homes that are being built, it's no wonder it's considered the next Edgewater, NJ."

"We have the best fourth of July festivals with live bands and fireworks. Not to mention, so many more neighborhood activities all year round. which includes activities for everyone for all ages."

"Summer concerts, fireworks and seasonal art/craft shows, soccer, base/softball, dog park, huge new children’s playground, track & field venues, tennis and walking paths are easily found in the 30 acre conveniently located Brookdale county park. Not to mention the public golf course and a plethora of downtown events and sidewalk celebrations. This is a very diverse and welcoming community."

"Concerts in all neighborhood parks, Memorial Day parades, local Octoberfests. True sense of community, all local business owners know my name. After Hurricane Sandy, the true colors of comradery in the residences of Bloomfield came strongly to light.... we take care of each other."
