"The area is a mountain community. So its all about outdoors, hiking, playing, fishing. No night life. Mountains I perfer not to drive or be out at night. I hoped I would see more wildlife but havent. Town has all the basic stores, food & hardware."

"My husband and I chose to retire in Blairsville, and we love the town and surrounding area. The population seems to be predominantly retired folks, and there are many retired military as well. Perfect!"

" it is family oriented safe for children to go outside and play. we live near a lake and community park. there is also camping and fishing. the public school is on a charter school level and highly recommended. "

"Great dog park near by at Meeks Park. Some restaurants are dog friendly also. Our downtown is a great place to take a walk with your dog. "

"The boutiques and shopping areas are very open to pets and many restaurants have outside seating so you can go with your pet"

"People walk their dogs often and the dogs are happy and friendly. There is very little traffic and the roads are paved and easy to walk, whether you’re going up the hill or back down. A great neighborhood!"
