"Great place; family oriented; good property maintenance; lots of trees; ideal East Bay Area but also expensive "

"My neighborhood has excellent access to major freeways which connect to downtown Oakland and San Francisco. It is located within walking distance to the Bay trail with a gorgeous view of the Golden Gate Bridge. There are so many dining options to enjoy a variety of cuisines. "

"Albany Hill is a great place to walk your dog. Most everyone keeps their dog on lead - plenty of interesting wildlife to lunge after here too! "

"everything in the East Bay is getting expensive. I've lived here 20 years and can no longer afford it. "

"We are close to Solano Ave that has tons of restaurants and little shops. Cute neighborhood feel. We know some of our neighbors and look out for each other. "

"Tons of community. Wonderful public schools and proximity to Berkeley, Oakland & SF while still feeling like a small town."

"Because this area is populated by students from around the world it is a pretty good place fir children to grow exposed to more cultures. But as this. Of course selects for families who are economically and geopolitically capable of attending an elite institution- the diversity is shallow. It has lately due to institutional policy changes become less family friendly and more young, dog owning couples that dint respect the commons. "

"Central area and as easy a commute as these things go. Near busses, BART and freeway. I take the bus to downtown Berkeley, under half an hour. "

"Good neighborhood with good schools for children in walking distance. Older homes lacking minimum amenities in the modern days like dish washers."

"The number of families connected to UCB which used to bring welcome economic and cultural diversity is dropping as UCB housing authorities have apparently decided that the revenue generated from undergraduates with ‘service’ pets is better than the revenue generated from non-traditional students. So the flavor of the neighborhood has changed in the last 5 years "

"I've lived here 10 years. Neighbors are incredibly friendly and you can be as involved or uninvolved as you want. We have a block party every year with great participation. There is remarkable racial, ethnic, religious, socio-economic and sexual orientation diversity. We have a new group of young and school age children so the neighborhood is alive with the sounds of children."

"Walking distance to everything- schools, stores, transportation, trails, parks. Tilden regional area is just a short drive away and so is the San Francisco, golden gate, Marin area. Lots of local restaurants and stores, perfect weather. "

"I have lived here for 5 years. Specifically in the uc village a community primarily for housing uc students. Once it was a great place for students with children. in the last few years it has become increasingly used by young childless singles with pampered dogs. I am disappointed as this has decreased the size of the student body at oceanview elementary."
