I grew up in the northeast, in Boston, Massachusetts. At 19 years old, I started a small retail jewelry business, and within a few years, I had four busy and successful retail jewelry stores. But then, one fateful four degree cold, grey and depressing January day, I came to Fort Lauderdale for a weekend getaway: when I stepped off the plane, it was warm, beautiful and sunny, and I was instantly hooked and in love --- with the weather, the beauty of the area, the close proximity of the spectacular ocean, and with the whole casual, easy feeling of life in South Florida.
It took me a while, but eventually I moved to South Florida full time, and began selling real estate here. I had a small detour of 6 years, when I had an opportunity to partner up with a top producing realtor in Los Angeles. It was a fantastic opportunity for me. It was wonderful and exciting working with celebrity clients and living in L.A., but I missed my life on the ocean in Fort Lauderdale.
So 6 years ago, I returned to my life on the beach, and I have been selling real estate here again ever since. I love it here. I honestly do not think that anyplace is more beautiful and special than here in South Florida. With the year round spectacular weather, the proximity to the water, the natural tropical beauty of the area, and the casual, outdoor oriented, easy way of life, I find no place that compares to here. I truly feel as if I am living in paradise.
