Inexpensive Historical Living in Beacon Hill San Antonio, Texas

There is a great history within Texas, as well as in San Antonio, with the Alamo serving as a central attraction of the city. Also within San Antonio there lies many great historical areas that offer Victorian style architecture and homes that were built in the early 1900’s, such as in Beacon Hill, which remains a less expensive alternative to historic living. The homes in this area are mostly historic, yet without the historic status, the homes within the neighborhood remain below $95,000 on average, with the range from $130,000 to as low as $21,140.

The state of Texas holds several great cities that offer special treasures at every turn. The economy in Texas is a bit more favorable than other states in the U.S., with an average household income remaining just over $50,000. San Antonio is a high volume tourist attraction within the state, holding several large and small gated neighborhood communities. San Antonio is also comprised of several attractions both at the historic and recreational levels, offering something to do no matter what your interests are. While there are areas in San Antonio that could range in the hundred-thousand ranges to live, there are neighborhoods such as Beacon Hill that offers less expensive living with all the attractions of the great city.

The real estate market in Beacon Hill has continuously risen since 2002, rising by 1.34% in 2009, offering cheaper homes that are steadily increasing in value. The historic element of these homes makes living within the community a true treasure, but avoids the high cost of a historic status neighborhood. Most of the area is currently under revitalization, restoring the oldest Victorian and bungalow style homes.

Living in Beacon Hill is very quiet and offers inner-city living at a slower pace than the more metropolitan areas. The neighborhood is located in Midtown San Antonio, only 2.5 miles from the downtown area. The early 1900’s style of the neighborhood is the main element of recreation within the area, as the small section of town offers several classic style homes you can enjoy riding past just for fun.

Moving to San Antonio, Texas definitely offers many great communities from which you can choose to live, but Beacon Hill definitely offers a choice for anyone.
With lower costing homes, you can enjoy the ambiance of the city without the high crime or the busy whirl of life zooming past you at all hours.
