Apple Picking, Wine Tasting, Leaf Peeping Almost Here!!

My Favorite time of year is almost upon us!!

The Hudson Valley Region of New York is one of the most popular areas to enjoy the coming fall events.  From Apple Picking, to Wine Stomping, to hiking the mountains with awesome fall colors, NOW IS THE TIME TO MAKE SOME PLANS.  Palia Vinyards in Cornwall has a great wine stomping festival and a Lucy Riccardo contest; Maganinni Winery outside the Hamlet of Wallkill offers old time Italian dinners with dancing; and Mohonk Mountain has so many trails to hike, bike, and rock climb that you will never be bored.  If you enjoy just sitting and relaxing, try BenMarl Winery in Marlboro.  The view of the Hudson River Valley from their vineyard rivals anything I have ever seen.
Farther North you can take the chair lift at Hunter Mountain up to the top and see for miles in the Catskills.
There are many places to choose from and visit.  Feel free to ask me any questions or my opinion - or post a place or event that you have tried, loved and want to share.  I want to hear from you!  Have a great Fall season.

hi, will be visiting Hunter Mountain on October 6th from Long Island. Any idea where we can stop to pick our own apples along or off the route to Hunter? Thanks, Sue
