HR Johnson Homes - Custom Home Builder

By Kendal & Erlinda Johnson | Builder/Developer in New Mexico

What is Certified Green Building?

In New Mexico, a new construction home buyer can obtain a level of green building certification from Green Build New Mexico (GBNM) through a Builder ranging from the lowest level and standard of certified green building labeled as "Bronze" to the next level "Silver" followed by "Gold" and finally to the highest level and standard of certified green building titled "Emerald". At HR Johnson Homes, our standard construction procedures and components contain most of the same requirements to meet the Silver level of green building certification issued by Green Build New Mexico and therefore, the construction of a handcrafted custom home by HR Johnson Homes provides a clear path to Silver certification without much, if any, additional components and procedures as well as facilitating the course to obtain the higher levels of green building certifications of Gold and Emerald.
