Free activities. Trail fee applies. Full day of activities focused on wildlife during winter. FREE trail admission for children ages 12 and under, as well as complimentary hot chocolate or bird friendly, shade-grown coffee and wildlife art display by Dave Hughes.

12:30, Snowflake Making Workshop (ages 7 and up)

1:30, Guided Winter Walk (limit 25; trail fee applies)

Owl Prowl, February 19 and February 26

6 pm - 9 pm Hawk Mountain Visitor Center Must call 610-756-6961 to register in advance Limited to 20 Cost: $10 Members, $20 Non-Members Call early as this popular program fills quickly: 610-756-6961. Begin indoors with an introduction to owls using our own live owls to learn adaptions to this nocturnal raptors. Then head outdoors to listen and look for real owls on the Mountain. Dress warmly! You will be outdoors at night for 30 to 40 minutes.

Directions from Pottsville, PA and I-81: 1/2 hour • Take Rt. 61 SOUTH (Frackville Exit for I-81) • To Rt. 895 EAST (take jughandle, exit to right) • Go 2 miles to RIGHT at blue Hawk Mountain sign (Drehersville) • Cross railroad tracks and Little Schuylkill River • Go 2 miles to top of mountain, turn RIGHT into parking lot
