A new urban form placing airports in the center with cities growing around them, connecting workers, suppliers, executives, and goods to the global marketplace.

Airports will shape business location and urban development in the 21st century as much as highways did in the 20th century, railroads in the 19th and seaports in the 18th.

Aerotropolis Atlanta is a planned mixed-use development in Hapeville, GA on the site of the former Ford Atlanta Assembly Plant. The site is directly adjacent to Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport. The complex is to house offices, retail, and entertainment. This is all done by the same Developers at Atlantic Station, Atlanta.

Porsche North America announced plans to spend $80-100 million to move their North American headquarters from Sandy Springs to Aerotropolis Atlanta, including a new office building and test track. Porsche will receive about $15 million in economic incentives to do so including a $10 million tax break as Aerotropolis is in an "enterprise zone"..
