Looking For The Perfect Aurora Fixer – Upper?

When it comes to finding the perfect Aurora fixer-upper you'll have to have your senses in sharp tune to pick up what others may miss. You'll find that there are a lot of different homes in Aurora that will fall into the fixer-upper category quite easily. It is your job to find them along with the help of your real estate agent.

Get your agent on the same track

The first thing that you need to do is get on the same track with your Aurora real estate agent. Exactly what are you looking for? What do you consider to be the perfect fixer-upper?

·        Is it a house that needs a complete overhaul?
·        Do you want a house that is just dirty and needs a full cleanup?
·        Are you interested in a home that needs some major work done but does not need  to   be completely redone?
·        Would you like to see homes that need a lot of minor repairs done but nothing major?

Let your agent know exactly what you're looking for. This will save a lot of time wasted by looking at the wrong type of fixer-uppers.

Be prepared for what you'll seeMr. fix it

Be prepared to see some homes at their absolute worst. When you see one home and think that things couldn't get any worse, you'll see another home that is absolutely disgusting. Even Aurora real estate agents have to get used to some of the things they run into. Not only can a home be in bad shape structurally, it can also be very dirty. Although you are looking for the perfect fixer-upper and want to find homes that are in rough shape, just be prepared for what you'll see when you do enter these homes for the first time.

Call in some professionals

In many cases you are going to have to call in some professionals to get the final word on what is wrong with the home. A home inspector can let you know what repairs need to be done. You may also have to get some help from pest control specialists, water and fire damage companies or landscapers. It is always best to get a final word about all the problems you encounter on a property before deeming it the perfect Aurora fixer-upper and making a purchase.

You can find the perfect  fixer-upper by persisting until you find it. While it may just fall into your lap on the first viewing, you're probably going to have to be ready to put some serious time and effort into it. Treat it as you would a real business, since there is a lot of potential to make some serious money with Aurora real estate investments.
