Congratulations! Your offer on a house has finally been accepted. Now you're wondering what comes next. Well, after the "Offer to Purchase" has been accepted, the next step typically is to schedule an inspection. This usually takes place one week after the date of your offer. Once a through inspection takes place, you should get back to the sellers with any concerns that you may have.
You may also want to find yourself a real estate lawyer to represent you during your purchase transaction. They will work with you (sellers may also have a lawyer) and help you understand all the legal terminology, making your purchase less stressful.
Apply for mortgage financing. In the offer it will be stated what the deadline is for loan application, usually no later that the purchase and sale date. A good rule of thumb- Do not wait! start as soon as possible.
The signing of purchase and sale. Here you will need to provide an additional deposit-enough to equal 5% of the purchase price.
I will be there to help you every step of the way, making this transaction go as smooth as possible, and enabling you to start packing and looking for your new paint colors!
