Foundation-less craftsman demolished on Oak Glen Place, Silver Lake

2215 Oak Glen Place is a blank slate.  Formerly (as in two weeks ago!) an original Silver Lake craftsman from 1913, it took construction workers two days to start and finish demolition.  The home miraculously stood for 100 years, and presumably weathered several earthquakes, without a foundation - something the GC had never seen before! Construction started this week on a new 2 storey / 3 bedroom home, expected to be 2,000 sf and completed in 2014.   Expect something clean and contemporary with environmentally friendly upgrades.
