Is Now A Good Time To Look For Mountain Property?

The question has been put to me many times in the last few months of, is this a good time to look for houses and vacant land to purchase.  I believe this is a great time to begin your search for mountain property. First, the mortgage rates are at an all time low. Second, the sellers of property are not looking forward to carrying their property through the winter.  Third, with the economy in the present state, I think most sellers are more likely to be in a negotiating mood.  The next reason is that the average price of a home in North Carolina since November 2000 has increased by 17%.  This makes homes and vacant land in NC a great place to invest hard earned money in an enjoyable and appreciating asset.<BR>Will in Cashiers,NC

Yes, it is. I understand the market in the mountains areas is remaining strong. Interest rate being lower makes a good time to purchase. NC mountains is a beautiful location whether for a primary residence or a second home.

Plus the lower gas prices are encouraging more people to travel from Florida and other distant places.
