sound advice. if the home needs a lot of work I would suggest you take a contractor with you if you can afford it so you know up front. REO props usually a penalty if they do not close on time that the buyer has to pay so definitely do your homework.

We always expect to do due diligence before putting an offer in. But sometimes a house going on trustee sale where seller/tenant is already living didn't give us the opportunity to know the interior physical aspects of the house.
So sometimes you have to take calculated guess to buy it on trustee sale.
