Kitchen remodeling project is moving along, and at some point i had to choose back splash tiles... As any young (well, i feel young) not local (yes, i have an accent) first time home owner, i had no idea not only where to go, but also what i like (not as easy as buying shoes apparently...)

I was feeling lost, until i was introduced to heath ceramics!
It is a lovely American pottery store in Sausalito making tiles and tableware for over a half century in their factory in Sausalito.






The selection is fantastic! The colors and patterns are just amazing - it feels like art. It has nothing to do with boring back splash tiles whose only purpose is to protect your walls. Here are some photos of the designs they display:










I liked literally everything there! It was such a hard decision, but i think i chose the best of all. It is a subway style, green color tile that will look just amazing with the rest of the kitchen and living room area:









The process from selecting the tiles to placing the order was heavenly. Everybody there was very helpful and super polite. The only drawback, is that it take 6-8 weeks to deliver. Who knew that tiles can be so popular (well...certainly not me!). In any case, i think it is worth it, and with a little bit of planning, the waiting time is not that long after all.
