Have you ever had a run-in with a not-so-great neighbor? I know that I have had a few over the years: they were extremely loud at all hours of the night, they did not pick up any trash, they let the grass grow knee-high, and they were just disrespectful to the neighborhood, property, and to each other. In my personal experiences, a majority of them were renters. So who shall I blame, the renters or the landlords?
First, I made it a point to address my concerns to the problem neighbors. After much time, there was no improvement. Next, I went to the landlord. Again, the issue did not get better. Therefore, I would be leaning on the "It's the landlords fault" side because:
- The landlord did not screen their tenants well enough.
- The landlord denied the fact of having troubled tenants.
- The landlord did not take immediate action to resolve the situation.
Landlords like this are flooding the whole Northeast, causing good neighbors to move out of the neighborhood. To read the full article, click here
