New Homes in Aviara Carlsbad California

It's not often new homes come to a great neighborhood like Aviara in Carlsbad California, but it's true! Jade Homes is constructing 4 houses on Hummingbird Lane in Carlsbad with partial views of the Batiquitos Lagoon.

The smallest floorplan is a single story with 2592 square feet and the largest two story is 3342 square feet. The designs will have balconies, decks, and terraces to take advantage of the ideal weather year round and serene setting. You'll even find horses on the neighbor's property across the street!

Walking trails around the Batiquitos Lagoon, and walking to schools, shops, and restaurants are also a benefit you will enjoy. There is an easy drive out to I5 for commuting and you are less than 3 miles from the surf and sand of the Pacific Ocean. The challenging Aviara Golf Course and world class Park Hyatt Resort are part of your neighborhood. Breezes coming off the ocean and lagoon keep the summers mild and turning on the furnace in the winter is an afterthought.

Carlsbad boasts good employment opportunities, cultural activities for the whole family, and a location with easy access to downtown San Diego, Orange County, and various tourist attractions such as Legoland, Safari Park, San Diego Zoo, and Seaworld. Disneyland and Knott's Berry Farm are just an hour away too!

These 4 new homes being built in Aviara Carlsbad are sure to sell out quickly. Anticipated completion date is Spring 2014. Jade Homes, based out of Costa Mesa, is a southern California builder who have completed over 500 residences and possess more than 3 decades of experience in construction and development.

For more information on these new homes in Aviara Carlsbad California, feel free to contact me or take a drive by on Hummingbird Lane just off of Batiquitos Drive. Framing is already complete so you can get a pretty good idea of the space.

  • Need Garage Door Service in San Diego? That Sticker May Be Misleading

    Posted Under: Remodel & Renovate in San Diego County  |  September 14, 2011 10:42 AM  |  727 views  |  17 comments

If you are looking for garage door service in San Diego County, you may want to think twice about the company whose sticker is on your opener

It appears Seacoast Garage Doors advertising technique is to go to every house for sale(vacant or not vacant) and put their stickers inside...on the garage door, the opener, the garage wall, the water heater, or just about anywhere they can.

    Seacoast Garage Doors label

So when the new owner needs their garage door serviced they think Seacoast Garage Doors must have done some work there previously so just call them. I would say that is false and misleading advertising. I'm not sure if it is against any law, but at least violates some ethical or moral grounds in my mind for a company to be distributing unsolicited advertising like this INSIDE a private home.

I know I will be avoiding Seacoast Garage Doors for service based on their stickers I see everywhere. If they were a reputable company, they could obtain business the old fashioned way by earning it or at least asking permission or paying for advertising space!!!

  • A Castle in Olde Carlsbad For Sale Much Less Than A Kings Ransom

Posted Under: Home Buying in Carlsbad, Curb Appeal in Carlsbad, In My Neighborhood in Carlsbad  |  June 20, 2011 10:55 PM  |  725 views  |  1 comment
If you've ever wanted to live in castle and like San Diego's weather better than jolly old England, then this Olde Carlsbad home is a must see! With a price just reduced by almost $200,000 and no foreclosure or crazy short sale banks to deal with, this is really a great deal. The castle has 5 bedrooms, over 3500 square feet of living space, and special features like a basketball court, spiral slide, and panoramic views...you should be making offers on this yesterday!

Oh and there are secret hiding places and a studio apartment below the garage. Your guests will love it when they come to stay and play here in Olde Carlsbad with the beach about a mile away.

Call or email me for more details.
  • Junk fees for buyers of foreclosures keep going up

Posted Under: Home Buying in San Diego, Foreclosure in San Diego  |  February 12, 2011 10:15 PM  |  685 views  |  3 comments
Since the seller usually gets to choose services, the banks owning foreclosures have volume relationships with many escrow and title companies. What that often means for buyers is poor service and high junk fees since the escrow companies will cater to the bank's neesd(who they must please constantly) and care less about the buyer who they will only have to deal with once. The escrow company makes up for the discount fees the bank receives by increasing the fees for the buyer to pay. Watch out for escrow, loan tie-in, doc, courier, wire, sub-escrow, and archive fees to start adding up pretty quickly.

In addition, Fannie Mae is now not only making the buyer pay fees which are customarily the seller's(HOA doc and transfer fees, county and city transfer etc) but also a $150 re-key fee whether the buyer wants it or not. Is it really the buyer's fault they choose to key every home the same?
