What is REALTOR® Nationwide Open House?

The NAR is attempting to get the word out that now is a terrific time to buy!  They are encouraging brokers and agents to participate by holding Open Houses at their listings. In all my long years of Real Estate service, I cannot recall ever having seen this before.  It is a fabulous  opportunity for sellers to showcase their homes and for home buyers to shop for a new home.  So, whether you are a buyer, a seller, or an Agent, participate!!! 

Why? Many good reasons: interest rates are still low; home prices are lower; inventory is high.  The Expanded First-time Homebuyer’s Federal Tax Credit is still available, as long as your contract is in place by April 30, 2010.
